| I think you should go back to pretending to be black in the COR son, because you're way out of your depth here. |

Funny how good artists branch out in new musical directions, while those who no longer innovate simply branch out in new marketing directions.

...aaand, when you have absolutely nothing else to contribute, resort to infantile racial slurs and gibberish slang.
You just keep on lowering that bar. |

How people can party to this kind of set boggles my mind.
To each their own, I suppose :conf: |

^^^ is he really that twitchy? I'm having a panic attack just watching him it looks like he's in fast-forward.
Over-touching the mixer is one of my greatest pet peeves for a dj. |

Guess what? That's how he plays. And it's highly danceable, if your dancing consists of more than doing the fist-pump hokey-pokey.
As far as his mixing goes, he comes from the same school as Ron Hardy, Larry Levan, et al - play how you feel. On quality system, those kinds of manipulations sound awesome - I'll take his kind of e.q.ing over played-out, standard effects and anti-climatic buildups to nowhere any day.

Yes you are. Hawtin made some great music in the ‘90s but he’s ing boring now. I saw him and the whole Enter shebang at Sonar this summer and it was BOOM-WHIR fist pump techno for idiots throughout. It’s not 2006 anymore, the world has moved on. He lost any last semblance of respectability when he started a clothing label calling Richly Hawtin, for ’s sake. And what is “replicate drums in a minimal style” supposed to mean? As for Deep Dish, it’s pretty much been said by everyone else: they were getting very tired by the time they split up, and both have descended into the opposite ends of farce since then. Why would anyone give a now in 2014? |
