just wondering not trying to be pedantic.

The fact it came out in 2023.
szm
yea thats a fair point, but isnt the prefix usually a descriptor of the stylistic nature?

my confusion in this case I suppose. carry on.

Why do people always think there's some kind of science to this? They're just words.

Maybe it would be more helpful to mentally rearrange the words to say "Modern proper prog". Because that is proper progressive house, the raw, banging, acid infected stuff, not the insipid ploddy floaty fare that Guy J or Hernan Cattaneo play, but it's modern.

That's the same sense I use the word "modern" in my mixes in my signature. It's the real stuff, but being made today.
szm
wouldn't say its a science, more of a de facto.(is that the right term?)

I see what you're saying though, short-sighted on my end.

ultimately I'd like to blame this on discogs, and since sykonee is the my main discogs bro here, i'd like to blame him, thanks a lot sykonee u jerk.

on that point, think ill jump into one of your mixes, not sure if I've checked out one before? maybe a decade ago when you were slinging prog house, cant remember. any recommendation on which to start with?
SYSTEM-J
Depends what you're after. If you want something banging that you can run to, I'd say Rough & Ready is the strongest of the "modern trance" mixes I've done to date. If you want something deeper and slower, the Edale Mix has been really popular with people. Further back I've got ambient, drum 'n bass, dub techno sets...
