I've been buying new records for the last six or so months in an effort to build some sort of collection. I have some gems that I cherish, sure, but I also have a bunch of records that I've lost interest in (at least for now) as I search for a new set of sounds. It's become an expensive habit and hobby. That said, my strategy for collecting vinyl is changing. I've started digging through older records on discogs and buying whatever strikes my fancy for a tenth of the price. I also don't have to worry about wear and tear while learning how to mix (or any of the abuse they endure during a drunken session). I aim to only buy new if it's an absolutely must-have record in my book. Anyway, I picked this up this week along with a few dozen others. Playing it now and it's fantastic on the speakers:
