First time posting on this msg board. I had such a good time seeing tiesto play. I have never been on my feet that long at any club before. I had nothing but a smile on my face the whole night(no drugs)
I just cant wait for PVD! My feet wont take it ;) |

| Hey John my names Dominick from Brooklyn. Thanks for the welcome :) Ive actually have been register for the board for a really long time but since I had no net for a while ( long story) I havent really been able to get online. Hopefully I can be a contribution to what is definatly a kick ass community :) Im in school till 9:30 pm that night and I have a test and with the whole Staten Island commute I dont think I can make it but I will def love to meet you all at the club :) |

Friday night was ridiculous! honestly, the average fan of tiesto or music in general isnt giving a what the dj's mixing is like. Did u honestly hear any trainwrecks?! nope sorry, if u did, ur wrong. did the man have roxy packed with people moving, and a couple thousand left at 7am begging for more? yeah, i think he did an ok job.
anyway... nice seeing who I saw from here. good times, good times. everyone mentioned the highlights, personal highlight for me was when summer calling's vocal kicked in.... siiiiiiiiiick! The last hour and a half i spent in the dj booth with my girlfriend and my boy dj mike bugout. we watched the crowd and the man himself(he was hammered might i add) work that crowd like u wouldnt believe. did u see him pose with the mixer mag so the camera man could take pics of him reading it lol too funny. after the club closed and crowd filtered out and lights were on, we chit chatted with him for a little bit, and he declined to take a pic with my boy sayin that after 6am he doesnt take pictures?!?! wtf we didnt care, he was awsome as hell.

nah i was thinking before in the shower....and i came to the conclusion of WHY i didnt enjoy it that much...
this is why....
personally i am not a mix freak...i mean it counts but i am more of a track man...i like to KNOW what i am hearing...
and in the past few months i have been expanding my tastes by listening to Gielen, Corsten, Armin, DuMonde, B&J, Picotto, Liebing, Umek, Cosmic Gate, Tracid etc etc etc live sets....
SOOOOOOOoooooo since i wasted my time these past few months broadening my tastes i havent been keeping up with Tiesto...it used to be i would know EVERY track he would drop....and be SIKED to get the newest live set and listen to it so much i would wear out the MP3..LOL...but sinc ei wasted all these months trying to branch out i wasnt PREPARED to hear what i did....i KNOW for a FACT if i hadnt wasted my tiem with those other DJs i would of LOVED the Roxy...but i did and i cant change that...
thats why i deleted my entire Live Set collection of all that other DJ crap...i checked it all out , and came to the conclusion that the ONLY 2 DJs who did it for me are TIESTO and PICOTTO...
so like i said i just wasnt prepared cus i havent been listening like i used to these past few months cus of my collecting addiction to other GARBAGE and somewhat CHESSEY other DJs...but next tiem i will be prepared like i USED to be...and will once again be defending Tiesto...
i LOVE Tiesto...trust me i do...i am a freak for him....but i messed up by branching out...i think did cus everyone always said to listen to other DJs...si i started to and got addicted collecting all their live sets...adding up to over 700 some odd Live Sets NON TIESTO...and now that i ahve checked all the others out i KNOW who i LOVE and thats the MAJIK MAN TiESTO....
so next time i will be ready..... |

I had a great time and enjoyed Tiesto's set. I however do have some points to make.
1. The first song Tiesto played was not the breakbeat song. It was a Noel Sanger record. Tiesto came on when it was playing.
2. I remember a point when he forgot the record was finishing and came in late when the record ran out.
3. I hate Flight 643. Why does he continue to play that mess?
4. At the start of his set, people were crowding the booth, literally shoving things in his face. I am glad he threw that back at you! |
