ummmm i assume thats to me...LOL...
too bad u couldnt of caught it then thrown it on the floor...that way u and i could of had a little personal talk...
and i didnt shove it in his face...i raised it up..then he smiled and reached for it...so HE took it from me then looked at it again and smiled then gave it back...
so heres an idea...TAKE IT EASY:haha: |

"A little personal talk" sounds like a threat.:nervous:
I do recall him putting up his hands and telling people to back off. And I wasn't pointing the finger at you, but from my observations of the people in front of the booth. And he did have an angry look when he "THREW" a t-shirt back into the crowd. And it prolly wasn't you. |

i completley agree that he must of gotten a little annoyed at all the requests for autographs and hand shakes right when he started...
but i remember the first time he was Exit and from the begining of his set till the end people where doing the SAME THING..and he signed stuff left and right.... at the end of the night the crowd ripped down the glass in front of the booth to get his headphones when he threw them...
but this time he was different....
he wasnt pissed at me i know that cus when he gave it back he smiled at me and i laughed at him....i wasnt even going to give it to him to sign but he put out his hand and asked for it...i guess to see it or soemthing ...i really dunno why....but he did.... |

| I'm just playing dude. Tiesto ended up signing almost everything from everybody after that first incident. But I know I wasn't seeing things. Did he not throw a t-shirt back immediately after snatching it up? Whatever. |

LoL... this has to be the most non-agreeing review thread !! haha..
i mean first of all, if your gonna get technical about every little thing that a dj does, your not gonna fully enjoy yourself... i hate when "pro djs" up(whatever it is.. trainwrecks, record skipping...) but if i payed good money to goto an event, im gonna try to have fun instead of trying to pick point out all the little things that the djs did that u dont agree with... Ok..Tiesto? honestly, his best performance in NYC was his first time here.. March 2000 @ Limelight.. hands down.. he played a short set(about 2.5 hours) full of uplifting epic style trance that we all loved him for... after the last song he played, EVERY SINGLE PERSON in Limelight started chanting Ti~es~to.. and this happened very naturally..i was a bit surprised he didnt drop an encore....
well back to Tiesto @ Roxy... oh before that, give props to ing Noel Sanger !! this guy did an amazing job of buliding up the crowd, since Tiesto was scheduled to come on @ 3:00, he had to spin very nicely to get the crowd going.. peolple didnt look worn out, or just wanting\waiting for Tiesto, everyone was very into Sanger's set which was fulll of very trance-ish Progressive. lots of breaks, lots of good basslines... just everything that moves the crowd, i was surprised to hear such a "trance style" progressive set from Noel Sanger(He even played his remix of Flesh) well Tiesto came on around 3-3:15 and he kept the energy and the vibe that Noeal Sanger had sparked, he played some breaks, lots of dark tech-trance tracks with heavy basslines and good synths to give that trance feel, then he dropped the first melodic trance track: Tangled Universe(Three Drives) - Message from the Universe.. i was surprised to hear this track cuz i love this song and play it all the time, and to hear it in a club was very nice to my ears.. after this song Tiesto went up and down going from uplifting to proggy trance, to tech to melodic back to uplifing such as Gouryella - Gouryella...VERY surprising BUT this is too good of a song to ONLY play the first chorus!!!! he just mixed it out after the first chorus....:( my fav. part is the breakbeat part that comes after the first chorus, before the breakdown of the second(final) buildup.. anyway....Tiesto kept going back and forth with old trance to new maintaining the same level of energy.. his mixing wasnt perfect,(his mixing is NEVER perfect, so i dont expect him to be like Diggers anyway...)but he didnt do anything too dramatic to "kill" the mood\vibe..simply, ppl were loving it, foreals...
damn this s gettin long.. lols all im gonna say is that Tiesto was good from 3:00 to 5:45... from 5:45\6 and on, was just draaaaagggiiiingg.... his mixing was really , and by doing that, he was "wasting" good songs... i mean like what Choobak said, he mixed Flight 643(Original) into Neverending Melody...LOL thats a funky techno track into a melodic, uplifting trance !! u dont mix funky techno to uplifting trance....(it would have been bad even if Tiesto beatmatched perferctly, which he did NOT)even PvD wont be able to pull it off.. haha IMO if he played until 6, it would have been all good... the last hour+ was just totally dreadful..lol, lost the energy, the vibe and since he mixed like , the songs lost its quality.. Silverbath sounded sooooo stale...its all good tho, i should have left @ 6 !! then i would have left the place with a koolaid smile:D Overall i think this was Tiesto's 2nd best performance even tho the last hour+ was horrible.. and i had a blast celebrating Brian's 21st b-day and chillin with other TA's John(YOUR THE MAN!!!) Tom,(I actually talked to u that night!) Liz(good to hear u had fun !! thank you for listening !)also remember meeting Roninmess, Choobak... sorry for the late review.. hope to see u all @ PvD :toocool: |

| sorry... i forgot to mention one thing... Very nice improvement on the PHAZON!! i mean i dont know if it was Tiesto or not but the bass was distorted a few times but overall, great improvement since Scott Bond, which sounded like ...and the visuals\lighting was ok... i was just a bit spoiled from the ing illest visuals\lighting\lasers @ underworld right before roxy... if u were there, u know what im talking about.. SSSIIIICCKKK!! |

ya i seen Benny from a far...i started to walk his way but go lost in the crowd and then couldnt find him again....which is weird since he is like 7 feet tall...LOL....
