To be perfectly honest, I have no idea where to find these clubs you're talking about. When I go to a club it's because there's a DJ I want to see. I buy a ticket, I dress to dance all night, I do exactly that. I don't care what anyone looks like as long as they've got a big smile on their face and they're into the music. I was under the impression this is the usual pattern for clubbing everywhere. Maybe you get respectable DJs playing in swanky clubs somewhere in London, I dunno. I've never turned up to see a name DJ and found the venue was some glitzy dress-up club where you can rack up £100+ at the bar (short of being an alcoholic), and I've been clubbing up and down the UK in just about every major city. Hence my question about where you've been going and who you've been seeing.

You can fire wildly from the hip trying to second-guess me. Chin-stroking hipster? Insecure about his finances? Projecting his materialistic smugness? Has a small dick? it, unload everything you've got and hopefully you'll hit a nerve! Do you want to ask me about my mother while you're at it?

Again, I reiterate, from the moment you joined the thread you were quite obviously nudging the conversation around to pointing out that you can afford nice things and you unfortunately have to rub shoulders with those who can't. If you don't think that makes you sound like a prick then there ain't much more I can say.

I approve of the dress code below :haha:

Just working on some wings 👼

Again, so much projection and false inference. I never once tied your finances to this discussion, but you keep wanting to go there, simply because it fits your small minded narrative in relation to money or enjoying aesthetics.

Like people who make an effort when you go out = must be an elistist bourgoise nouveau cvnt. If you're not dressed like a ing tramp when you go out then then your a douchebag.

That's how your comments and analysis come across so I'm not going to apologize to you for having a different opinion or taste.

Have you ever considered that it doesn't have to be one thing or the other? It's not a finite thing. Good music and nice venue. Great DJ and well dressed people.

Nah, your question was to get a gotcha, like I was going to list some douchey club and you could then figuratively roll your eyes.

It sounds like you're going to wrong places, but having said that, the UK's clubscene really died several years ago so it's not hard to imagine why most clubs are quite ty. I love the warehouse thing that's been going on in recent years in the UK, but the only big clubs left are MoS and Fabric, both had their heydays a decade ago.

Here in the states, sure maybe it's a lot less underground but people love going out and having a good time to good music. It's a lot more of an aesthetic society so it's understandable that people don't go for a big night out in what they'd wear to the gym or pub.

But get it out of your heard that it's about tacky valentino suits or tom ford velvet trousers. Again, there's more to life than polar extremes.

Well I obviously did.

Nope, that's what your preconditioning based on prior spats we-ve had did to you. You did pointing all by yourself. I just said I find it sad that clubs used to have dress standards and now don't. It's not like I'm saying anything that didn't just a few years ago.

There wasn't a nice club in the UK that didn't turn people away for not making an effort. bagley's which was a hole even didn't allow tariners. Passion Coleville, Speedqueen, Slinky - I could go on and on so it wasn't some conspiracy to keep the ugly out.

It was clubbing was an experience - music, people, socializing, etc- so clubs wanted you to at least make an effort. but the clubs become beggers, so they couldn't be choosers anymore and abandoned all the dress codes.

If you still can't see what I'm getting at then you'll never understand it. I'll go to places where a shirt would look stupid so obviously you don't bother, but a really nice venue, with a good looking crowd and great music? Make a ing effort.

Why do you care how the other patrons are dressed?

I know that sounds like a stupid question to you, but try to answer it very seriously.

I've never understood why you new money people care so much about other people. It's one of the easiest signs that someone is new money - they judge other people on stupid . It always seems like new money people have this giant chip on their shoulders and need people to understand that they're richer and superior to others. But who gives a ? Dress in whatever ing way makes you happy. How does how other people dress impact you in any way whatsoever?

Wow.

Just Wow.

You've already admitted you're new money (as if it wasn't obvious from everything you say), so don't try to pretend you're offended by that. I'm legitimately curious why you care about how other people are dressed when you go clubbing. I 100% support people dressing appropriate for the occasion, but when you're going clubbing, isn't it about the music, not random strangers you won't talk to?

Do I? Why do you think I'm talking about my finances in that statement? I'm completely baffled now.

You're not very good with English, are you?

An aspersion is an attack on someone's integrity or reputation; I've done neither - merely asked why your view is the way it is.

A bigot is someone who is intolerant of those who hold other opinions. I've legitimately been inquiring as to your opinion to try to ascertain what it is - not exactly an action someone who was intolerant would do.

Keep avoiding my question, though.

I think you may have hit an actual nerve.

And you're terrible at comprehension.

How is this not casting aspersions on me:

If that isn't an attack on my reputation (the dictionary definition of aspersions) then I don't know what is.

I've told you my opinion and my entire argument here is that you two are completely intolerant of someone (my) opinion that it;s a sad state that clubs have no dress code as they once did. and by dress code I mean make a ing effort. So if it's a drag club, get your 7 inch heels on and make sure that dress takes the attention off your cringeworthy face. If that's a nice club, put some nice clothes on.

hence, you're an acute example of a bigot. Geddit?

I'm not going to answer your asinine and childish question because it's both poised and tied to the assertion that I'm some nouveau riche elitist, which I'm not. I haven't once even mentioned my financial situation or lifestyle, yet you brand me with all this from me simply saying I like nice or well designed things.

You must go through life absolutely terrified of everything and everyone if you draw such hardened and evolved views on people from such little information.

So until you understand what I'm getting at (which requires you to do the work to understand that someone might actually have a different opinion to you on a given subject), then I'm not going to entertain such a dumb question, nor from such a dumb bigot.
