I hope to have artistic kids myself. But I’m too gay for those |
You up for a little role play? I could be half artistic and half autistic. Like, I'll hold a paint brush, then perfect arrange the bristles, only to eat the brush a moment later. Then you can "discipline" me. WINK |

You be careful, Pie. You're the official COR nurse, so if you get sick, we'll all be w/out care. I know the pay is , but the insights you gain are priceless. |

| Hahahahaha! Well, not much has changed for me anyway. I feel like this virus should leave folks who were healthy, conscientious, and had good hygiene practices to begin with, unaffected. Until my daughter went to preschool I rarely got sick. But yes, hypervigilant now. |

| Both of the wife's tests came back negative, but she's back in the mix on a 12 hr. shift today. It's an overwhelming feeling of guilt, because I feel like if I made enough money, she could sit her ass right here at home and avoid this drama much more easily. For s n giggles, I get to help my younger daughter's boyfriend pull and replace an automatic transmission in a GMC truck today...with a heat index of 105F or so. I am not mechanically inclined in the least, so I hope he's ready for Total Disappointment (TM). |

| You raised her kids when no other dude would. Put that ing guilt away. It's counterproductive. |

| That's a fair point, and I appreciate you pointing it out. It just be the cherry on top if I were able make enough income so that it was optional for everyone else. The truth is, she probably faces just as much or even more risk any time she goes to the grocery store. If we crush ourselves with this transmission when we drop it, I'll see if he can TikTok that . |

| What would happen if you got sick? |

| If it were a prolonged illness, she would most definitely have to work more shifts. Currently, we are fortunate that we do not have either a mortgage or car payments. Our largest expense is health insurance for her, and then a litany of medical bills from her bout with lymphoma and a spinal fusion surgery. My employer gives us both short and long-term disability insurance as part of our benefits package, but I am sure it is worded in such a way that few illnesses would qualify for benefits. |

The hospital is one of the safest places to be right now, especially the clinical area I work in. Truthfully, Covid has made for a really nice break/slowing of pace for us on my unit. |

Actually, her current position is with a behavioral health facility where patients check themselves in. Generally speaking, almost all of them are either on one or more drugs or are withdrawing from one or more drugs, and are so mentally despondent that they feel the need to check in somewhere for help. Some of the more severe cases can, under TN code, become a "6404", meaning you qualify under TN Code section 6404 that you are going to be admitted and kept against your own free will.
I don't know how much more or less dangerous that makes her exposure level, to be honest. Hell, it's probably very high for something like Hep. C. But no clue if the client group that normally presents are higher risk for COVID. |
