2015 was the last year for me, I think. Would take a lot to draw me back for that. I would like to do Art Basel instead.

| My flight to Amsterdam for ADE was canceled last minute. Super annoying. Wifey said I should do something on my own anyway, so I decided to hike Mount Olympus. Not a bad plan b. It's been a beautiful experience. I'll be spending my Friday soaking in hot baths and drowning in wine until returning to reality/dadding on Saturday with a guaranteed hangover. |

Lol! It's soooo beautiful that time of year though. It's not the beach, sure, but it's usually very warm - hot that weekend. All the great food/restos is worth it alone. Plus.. RAVE!! |

Mechanicals suck! But nice way to finish out the race :wtf: Championship races are always humbling as there are a lot of mutant athletes out there. |

Boomer is right! (He follows me on Strava lol) I had a mechanical failure right before snow canyon, the steepest climb of the day. My chain dropped below the bracket. When I put it back on the cassette I had two links where the metal had bent beyond 45 degrees. The chain wouldn't stay on. Had to wait over 45 min for the bike tech. He removed both links, and thankfully I could still use all my gears. All that time waiting came off my official time. Watch said 5:09 with auto pause, and there was about 3 extra minutes of walking I could have taken off as well.
The good news is that I finished and my swim was in the top 10% in the world. I was in the top 150 before my mechanical, but my overall time would have landed me about 350th out of a massive 510 dudes in my age group. There were absolutely some alien athletes out there competing. Just shows me where I need to get stronger! |

| had a rough week last week lol. thought i had the flu.. was sick all week and then i got pancreatitis and spent the weekend in urgent care sitting in a hallway. tested positive for covid (was covid all along). still testing positive (2 weeks later) can't drink alcohol, cant eat fat. i feel extra gay. i also tried to squeeze out a fart and i my pants and had to throw out my underwear and pyjama bottoms. don't fart on clear liquid diets. |
