We wouldn't meet Argentina in the semis. It'd be either Morocco or Portugal.
I'm going to bet heavily on France to qualify, which has been my tactic for years. Even if England go home, I get a soothing cash reward. Unfortunately, since we've become good in the last few years the losses I've ended up chasing have been quite significant. |

Betting on Croatia before the match, when they went down and before the penalties has been my best investment this year. Well done to those legends. Nerves of steel. It was awesome to watch.
Look forward to England/France tonight. I still find it somewhat difficult to cheer for the English, but I must considering my wife and kid are from there and I know the players well from playing FPL. Sending France home would be as sweet as seeing Brazil lose, too. I predict England will pull off the upset and lose to Argentina in the semis.
Time for a pint! :gsmile: |

Ah , I don't know why I thought that when writing because I knew the Croatians were facing them. I'm a bit half cut though and on my phone which I never post from on here. A bit too exhausted, excited and intoxocated to think straight :o |

Wow, what a wild finish. I wanted Portugal to win but fighting fate is pointless:

I've come to embrace my inner peace because I now understand this is all part of Allah's great plan to lead Morocco to victory. It's the only logical explanation, really :p |
! يلا حبيبي ! إن شاء الله
Anyway, it's about time an African country finally made it to the semis. They're only the fourth team from the continent to ever reach the quarterfinals, so it's all the more impressive they've managed to pull it off. And you know what? I have a feeling the next World Cup with 516 teams will be amazing.
Edit: When was the last time both teams from the same group reached the semifinals? It's too late for me to check it, but it's sort of amusing that, if Croatia and Morocco meet again, their last match will be the same as their first one. |

| There's no shortage of illegal fireworks among local supporters. It's already like little Kyiv down here. |

This is the first instance of a non Portuguese/Italian wanting said team to win. Explain yourself |

If Morocco wins, France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Canada and Italy also win a little, as they have 14 players born in these countries :D
I wonder if their supporters also create a mess in Morocco like they do in France, Belgium and over here.
Hope England scores in the 2nd half as that should have been a penalty, can't understand why a VAR can decide differently. |

Yes, I'm not exactly happy about that.
It's been a good game though, very high quality. We've created plenty of chances and we're still in this game. |
