| That was a brilliant way to take a penalty kick, aim for the stars Harry. |

| Of course it would be a penalty that we lose on. Sickening. I thought we were just as good as France and played really well, but that penalty was the difference. I don't have any shame in how we played throughout the tournament. Watching England in the past has been an embarrassment at times, but not this team. |

Good play by England, but unfortunately no goals when they had France under pressure.
Don't think it's wise to take a second penalty in this situation. |

I think England was playing better than France, but France was more efficient. At least I enjoyed the way you guys played. |

| Tough loss. England fought hard enough to win for sure. Never seen Kane sky a pen like that. Feel for him. It'll be one hell of a triumph and celebration if they can ever get over the hurdle in our lifetimes. I feel more connected to the country and team than ever before though. Hope to see it happen. |

So I guess this means England and Brazil are now tied for most quarterfinal exits (7 each, if you count "second group stage" as quarterfinal'ish). Also, I managed to correctly guess everyone... who lost :D
What a weird cup this has turned out to be. The combined odds of either Morocco or Croatia reaching the semifinals were about the same as Denmark's, and we may have the exact same final as in the previous one, which would be also a first only the second time ever. Not to mention the fact, if they win, it's been almost 70 years since a small country such as Croatia lifted the trophy (that's how long ago Uruguay made it).

This is the first instance of a non Portuguese/Italian wanting said team to win. Explain yourself |
I'm afraid I'm not really that much of an exception... I have an Italo-Portuguese brackground and I have lived in Italy, so :p |

1986 and 1990 were both West Germany - Argentina. |

I stand corrected. I was checking for repeated flags and the different outcomes threw me off. |

The ref was , but I didn't see any favouritism, just incompetence. |
Ah I thought he had kicked it right at the Dutch players, not empty seats. |

He did kick right at the players, just didn't hit anyone but an empty seat. Ridiculous action from that distance, should have been instant red as he missed the ball and tackled Ake three seconds earlier.

| So was it correct to give Van Dijk a yellow as well? |
