What are everyone's thoughts on this very important subject.
In my experience thus far this statement has proved quite true. Especially in dealing with girls. (Or, not dealing with them :rolleyes: ) |

| Yes yes it is true. To a certain extent. I have had experience with this phenomena. The thing is it's not about being nice, it's about being relaxed/laid back, confident. A nice guy tends to overly show too much interest in the girl, then she gets turned off and could be driven away by it. (at least that's how it was in my experience...). So don't go CRAZY over a girl at first, it'll freak her out (just like it what happened to Tiesto14 etc...). I think that's how it works. Anyway...I'm trying to convince this girl who lives 10 min away from me to meet up for drinks/movie/date whatever but her friends are corrupting her mind with stuff like "If you meet somebody off the net they are insane and will molest you" etc. In their experience they've met psycho's off here, of course I understand how they would feel (they're just protecting her). I figure I wait it out, and see what happenes. She was telling me how she was defending me from what they were saying, how "I'm not like that" and "what if we accidentally met up at York"? (we go to the same school). I have patience and she's pretty cool. I don't want to push her or make her choose between me or her friends because it would drive her away. I will wait...not forever though. Only so much time I have.:p |

youd think this subject would get old after people talk about it 5 times a day in various threads. but, i guess ill respond the same way i do in all of those threads.
girls like confidence (just like guys do). cocky "mean" guys exude a lot of confidence, and thus, catch girls' attentions. "nice" guys, unfortunately, tend to fall under a more quiet, shy stereotype. and if a girl has a choice, odds are the confident boy will attract her more.
i mean, think about it. who would you be more interested in at a bar? some girl who sits across the room, never having the confidence to come up to you and start up a convo? or the girl who shows you she's interested?
"s" are also very good charmers. girls dont go out thinking "gee, wouldnt it be nice to meet someone who would use me?". ive been fooled by the charm of players before... they are really in good at lying, i dont know. |

yes but not all girls want 'bad boys'
I think a lot of it happens when u mature, when ur looking at ppl not just as a lay but as a potential partner and in the end i think it works, with how the world is now, everyone has a history, u dont just marry the first girl u love |

what about guys who are nice AND hot? can't lose there. :D
but anyway - if i am looking for a guy to , then niceness drops a bit on the priority list. but in general i really do want a nice guy. very important. so don't start acting like an ass to girls cause you think nice guys finish last. |
