Teknoscaper: The crowd likes to sometimes hear tracks that are ANTHEMS or just classic tracks. If you played unknown - unknown (cdr) every track you'd clear the floor. People like to hear tracks they can recognise and can think back to.
The TL looks pretty good to me, it touches on both trance and prog, and plays around inbetween with them both.

yeah they are fairly different?
how can u dismiss tribal techno as a genre? escee I expect you of all people to have a clue.
djway: agreed anthems are good every now and then, but myself, I'd prefer to hear something anthemic like Xpander or Heaven Scent or Perceptions not Flesh...

Yeah, I've seen it mentioned as a genre before, so I guess it exists. Struggling to think of specific examples though - maybe along the lines of the sort of stuff that Martin Accorsi, Tony Thomas and Peace Division (their most recent stuff at least) produce? I've seen Adam Beyer classified as "tribal techno" before and while he probably plays a bit "harder" than Slade (i.e. more tech than tribal) there's still some brilliant stuff (along with some less brilliant stuff) on his EM if you could be bothered tracking it down. Maybe stuff like Chace - Calm Down, Funktion - Seduction or Sars - Overbooking (D-Formation Remix) are closer to the mark? If so I guess I've been a closet fan of Tribal-tech without even realising it...
Dunno why I wrote all that, but there you go.

| i bought it on ebay about 3 weeks ago. i think its great. Up there with the best he has done. Nice mix by Mk-S on the flip side aswell but not close to the power of the original i think. |
