PS Ballistic: Was just taking this piss :) (most instances being that it's bad to play mp3's, as they are unauthorised) |

so what if ppl play mp3s, even out, who really gives a ???
i would prefer to be in the crowd, listening to a set full of tracks i cant ID.
the artists really dont lose out, if you like it enough, you buy it.
i have no problem with DJs playing mp3s, even ones they download of ing slsk etc.
everyone is getting too ing elite about using mp3s. |

so long as the quality isnt compromised (which is extremely hard not to), I dont see a problem with mp3's. But some vinyl must be shown, just like some skin in a porno shoot !
essential! |

It can stop a track getting released; labels are nasty creatures.
The incidence I was talking about with EmPeeThree was a quote from somewhere on this forum where a producer saw his track in a set that was signed to a label, but not released.
Want to read more about unreleased tracks? 4 pages of BorderCommunity Love with posters such as Meerkat, Nathan Fake, Petter, Ozgur Can and Kosmas Epilison can be found Here.
I am NOT talking about any1 playing Jace's track; he put it out there TO be played.
escee: The boat sailed long ago. You missed it. Nice try tho.

If they have express/implied permission from the author, then yes I agree, OR if they have ordered the song already and just dont have it yet (eg its in the post), thats fine too. Other than that playing sets from mp3s is wrong. |
