i thought we werent supposed to keep redoing the mix! alot of people dont have the time to rehearse. unless you mean, just do it good the first time ...
ALSO, would it be possible to give the current competition entrants priority in the next competition. i'm afraid i'll miss the sign up. maybe starting the next one, we could make almost like a 'leaugue' or something, so us true amateurs can see if we are improving amongst one another? might be fun... |

I always had the idea of a ladder ranking system- challenge up and do a quick 30 min set let users decide winner
you can challenge up to 2 places of people ahead of you.
would go quicker than mixoffs
You could do it live on challenge night or something |

i agree with you.. that would totally be fun, but obviously not everyone would be able to do it. its really for people (with high speed connection) who really want to practice and have someone listen to it. agree it would be better to do it 'on challenge night' so its different than this comp. and because it takes on more skills. it would also kinda require people who dont care if their skills suck at times, because the mixes really couldnt be perfected.
i'd be willing to moderate (if luke or whoever doesnt wanna) and be a judge for a few months if we can get some interest. (but at some point i'd want to mix :D). maybe we could let the person being challenged choose who judges out of a list or from the other competitors? mixes would have to be shorter to, because the challenge may come at a bad time for the challengee. maybe the challengee could specifiy days of the week they could be challenged? or maybe the could put the challenge off for a week and then when the time comes, to make sure its "live" they have to include a few songs given to them the night before... |

We could start a list and see who wants in- start a new thread?
