Yes.
VBR stands for vairaible bitrate....where as cbr is constant.
With VBR files, the bitrate goes up when needed, and down when there is less sound.
Personally, i always use vbr, lame 3.90.2, --alt preset standard to encode mp3's...it gives better quality/and sometimes filesize than CBR 192. |
