and re: the girl that wanted a little love and ppl called her fat...that totally sucks, so what if she wanted a little attention? sometimes ppl feel like about themsleves and want to hear something nice once in a while (i can't speak for her, but i certainly feel that way at times).
....and ppl are plenty obnoxious about appearances in real life. going to the club and watching how ppl interact demonstrates this quite well. |

People in clubs are "worse" for a reason. Other than the obvious (drugs or alcohol), it's quite simple really:
Women who go to clubs scantily clad wearing a pound or two of make-up and shake their asses when they dance are obviously doing it to get attention. These women should be aware of the kind of attention they will actually receive for this (hint: it's not related to their computer programming skills). If they don't want this kind of attention, they need to make a different statement with their appearance (less make-up, dress with more style and less skin, etc.). But of course, that might mean they get less attention than the scantily-clad ones... in fact, the only way to get attention without such attire is to actually be friendly with people inside the club, which some people seem incapable of.
I personally do not grind or aggressively hit on girls in clubs or anywhere else, but I have no sympathy for the ones that fit the above description and do get hit on. I am NOT trying to say that every girl I see in clubs is like this, but there are many.
Generalizations are often a tool to avoid singling people out. I'm sorry if anyone here who it did not apply to, took it personally. |

good idea, this thread needs some "spring cleaning".
Swamper if your listening, it would be nice if the forum had branching navigation so you separate unrelated post from the main thread, for example http://us.imdb.com/boards/(obviously ur not going to switch software, but if this feature does become avaliable it would help.
charmscars: my problem is with the ppl who conduct on going wars between each other on these boards. |

very true. and the guys that hit on these girls are "usually" there to "pick up some meat" and don't give a rats ass who is spinning, or even if it's just the radio. clubs are meat markets, and that's what i hate about them.
I must admit though, it's fun to just people watch, especially if you can stand in the upper floor and look down. it's like looking into a cellular microscope.. "hmmm, this is how that particular organism reproduces, they ply each other with alcohol, and when the drunkeness is sufficient, they pair off and retire. this process can be accelerated by uttering the words, LAST CALL, or turning on the lights, when the promiscuity pitch rises to a fever" :)
