back on topic...
i think that ferry is a little more creative than tiesto in terms of actual djing. i saw tiesto recently and i was not impressed with his set...we all kinda said after that he should stick to producing. you cant go wrong with tracks like "tears from the moon", "venus," and "obsession." :D |

Changing with Tiesto? WTF? 2 years ago I listened to trance only but then became more and more interested in other apsects of electronic music, mostly thorugh the GU series and DJ's like Sasha and Nick Warren. At that time I got pretty sick of the anthem-after-anthem sets of the 3 dutch men and therefore liked how Tiesto seeked to abandon this formula and adapt new styles. Nowadays I'm listening to trance on a more regular basis again but if I do I tend to prefer the more diverse, in my opinion more interesting style of PvD and Tiesto.
Like Dj Pío stated it's art and therefore ONLY subjective. |
ah rite, i see now. yes tiesto did become far diverse, but why i don't understand. if you look at magik 6 i thought he was going to diversify into techy-melodic stuff like 69 ways and gothic dreams, but he didn't and started playing random bull in an attempt to find a new style imo. as i have already stated ferry was also crap last year. neither or them, or armin are my favourite dj, nor do i have a favourite dj because none of them play what i want to hear all the time. i think that if you want to see a dj, you see them for what they are worth, you don't see marco v to play a cheesy anthem set for example. it is nice to see DJs diversify to break up their sets to show they are not monotonous and repetitive which i have respect for. i have little to no respect for mr. verwest however for his quotes directed at mr. corsten, not creating his own tunes, considering himself a popstar and being in the business now for one sole purpose - to make money.
and if it is your opinion then it is objective mate ;) |

wtf is this guff? my point is u come in, post all that crap, then start crying about u being a victim when in actual fact, noone started on u at all. it was entirely the other way around. you thought ud just poke ur nose in and get a little dig in at me. then u act suprised when people start back on u. if u cant see this then ur dumber than i thought. As for this thread, it seriously wasnt my intention to start all this. I was giving my opinion, and altho i did come off kinda strong, instead of all the replies i got with such stupidity, what people shudve done is told me why i was wrong/rite with proper constructive posts. obviously as long as there are people on this board such as urself i dont think that will ever happen :) |
