i think everyone knows whats my answer to this question...T I E S T O:crazy: i can go on and on why and im not goin to start....but i do respect mr.corsten :toothless |
i bet u couldnt go on and on giving reasons why tiesto is better than ferry coz its not true. Ferry is better as a DJ in everyway possible, and his productions piss all over tiestos. The only decent productions tiesto can take credit for are Flight 643 and Nyana. And before anyone chirps in going what about Urban Train and what about Obsession etc. i'll just point out now that Urban Train was produced by Kid Vicious and Tiesto took all credit for, and Obsession was all Junkie XL, then Tiesto again takes all credit and sticks his name in the artist title. Yes the Gouryella productions are amazing, but u can easily tell that the majority of the influence has come from Ferry. I Seriously dont no how anyone can say Tiesto is better than Ferry production wise. Perhaps some of u are unsure because u dont no all ferry's aliases?
As for DJ wise. I dont even no how tiesto made it into mixmags top 100 let alone number 1. he is a disgrace to the trance scene. i dont no how but before 2001 his mixing was amazing and he actually put effort into it. past 2001 his mixing has become dire, pathetic and just generally . The most ironic transition i ever heard was at crasher when tiesto trainwrecked from GTR - Mistral into Urban Train

Oh my lord, the link in your sig is making me laugh so hard.
I agree that Tiesto's mixing is pretty off at times, but I think a lot of his production strength comes from his remixes. Seriously now, Silence, Flesh, Southern Sun, and Venus are not anything to be putting out the back door. |

I won't bring myself down to your level of crude words/insults, but I will say that when i saw Tijs recently he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. His mixing was also solid if not stellar.
I will say though, that I'm not nearly as impressed by nyana as his earler cds.
He did play many of his own productions/remixes which were the highlights of the night. |

:stongue: and yes u are correct here i shud hav mentioned all those remixes are good. so is tears from the moon. infact i am plsd to see that tiesto is almost reverting back to his old style. now just gotta get that mixing improved like the old days.

They're both good.
Ferry's latest System F album was . Some of Tiësto's productions are horrible. Yet I like them both. |

I think the main thing about the system f album was that it was a quick effort to please the commercial market in japan where ferry is loved and where they like that sorta thing, the right tools for the right market, like you wouldn't eat fish & chips with chopsticks if u get my point.
Tiesto imo isn't as good as the hype that he creates, and if some of the americans & others who worship him heard some other dj's mix properly, they might change their views |
