Review: Labour of Love (pg. 7)

Well what can i say?
After hearing the horror stories from last years Labour of Love i was a little apprehensive about how this one would turn out to be (especially since i am more than a little claustrophobic).
The pre meet was great, got to be in a pic with Ferry! Then headed over to the KH with loconet , tordan, tha_broad and smilin_jack.
Got into the KH fairly quickly since we got there so early, lineup lasted all of maybe 15 mins tops. 
KH was pretty empty at first so we chilled there a little, met up with other TAs. Christina starts warming up for her aerobics with smilin_jack and i trying hard to keep up :D :stongue:
Eventually decide to move on to the Guv to catch Sasha. Stayed on the stage in there for a while until it just got too hot and we moved onto the Patio to chill out there until about 2.
I honestly thought if the Guv was packed this badly, the KH would be complete hell but it turns out there a lot less people there and i was actually able to breathe.
I wasn't quite sure how to react to the set right before Ferry's (i think it was the BassBin Twins :conf: ) but i know some guy kept coming up to us saying it really killed the mood for him etc. Personally i didn't mind it too much, and it only made it better when Ferry finally came on.
I had never actually heard any sets by Ferry before hand but wow, the guy totally blew me away! He was absolutely amazing and played a really energetic set (from what i can remember hehe). I couldn't believe it when i heard the first few notes of Digital Punk come on... again all i can say is wow. There's nothing that can really describe how amazing Ferry sounded to me :)
Moved on to the skybar around 6:30 i think? Time flies when you're having fun ... Stayed up there and talked to various strangers about what i am sure must have been interesting if only i could remember...
I was amazed to hear Ferry was up on the sky bar a little later on and went over to talk to him and got to practice a little dutch and got to shake hands with the man that made digital punk :eyes: :eyes: I still can't believe it!!
In all this night was definitely a 10 in my books.
Shouts to the TA crowd that made it, you guys are amazing partiers and i look forward to seeing a lot of you at Dumonde this friday! And special shouts to tordan for being the best brother there is, to marg and ray for having us all over after the party, and to loconet for trying to keep track of my whereabouts after 4 am and being the best boyfriend ever :p

And now i'm going to go back to bed and finish recuperating :D |

Saw some of them in some parks, sleepin on benches still trying to get home. :D |

Well all I have to say is WOW. That was a great night.
I got there fairly early and just drank until Sasha came on. This was the second I had seen himand what a set. He showed a little more energy than I thought he would. I loved the remix of the white stripes that he threw down near the end of his set. Then it was off to hear a bit of Hybrid. I wish I could of heard more of them but I had to catch as much of Corsten as I could. I thought he played good trance at the beginning then went electro. Not really my cup of tea. But I'm not complaining. Nice to meet everyone that i did. Hope to see everyone at Dumonde then ARMIN!!!!!!!! and then VAN DYK!!!

omfg! Graham was THE wikkidest guy to party with....he an i were dancing up a storm in kool haus to ferry set.....he was givin me soo much energy! it was wikkid! |
