Hopefully some good stuff so you can't really assume just yet..but I'd still consider it a action/shooting game.. People would play it more for deathmatch. |

I played the Doom III alpha, and it was pretty damn good and goddamn scary, but HL2 will still be alot better. |

no doubt hl2 is more realistic, and yeah the hl2 movies are awsome :)

yeah, and you cant really assume the same for hl2, but i can see the argument of the first hl story was awsome so the second one will be too. although that argument can be said about the same for the movie industry, and we all know most sequels suck. anyway ill wait for both games, to make my final conclusion :) |

I havent seen enough of Doom3 to judge already, but ID always had my respect since they are the pioneers in 3D shooters. That said I also thing they lacked a bit with their recent products... For example, as much as I enjoyed Quake 1 and 2, I felt like Q3 was litteraly thrown away and the fun factor just wasnt there, but thats just me..
Half-life on the other hand totally captivated me like no other Third-person perspective games has ever done. Lots of innovating ideas like the in-game cutscenes wich was one of the coolest features I've seen in a long time... also it was very flexible so it gave birth to lots of cool mods like CS and Day of Defeat.
From the pics I've seen the graphics like the details in the character's faces in HL2 simply looks amazing and I have no doubt the the gameplay will be breath-taking as well.. Bottom line my vote goes to Half-Life 2, for now, cause we dont know and could all be surprised :D |
