There is no question that Half-Life 2 is the game to be waiting for. Superior graphics and the gameplay is unmatched. The orginal half-life took over my life... mainly when I got into counter-strike!
What I always wondered is are they thinking of doing counter-strike for half-life 2? Totally new... or would they just port it.
I know I'm going to need to upgrade my computer before April. I don't want to just play this game, I want to experience it. |

both. gonna be a great way of wasting so many days of my life!
but probably looking forward to Doom 3 most because i like the originals so much.
going to get a new graphics card for them i dont think my 8500LE will be up to it. |

newest version of these i've played is half-life 1 and doom 2
i liked doom 2 better than half-life, so i'm gonna blindly vote doom 3 based on that :rolleyes: |

ID has traditionally always been on the cutting edge of graphics (and I always love the scary atmospheres they create within games) but lacking severely in the story end of things. Valve's HL2 will hopefully carry on the tradition of good storytelling within the game and carry the players on an informative action packed journey. This kind of play is more important to me so I give my vote and hopes to HL2.

From what I read, Doom III is going to be scary as f***, especially if you got the 5.1 surround sound going! The graphics are cutting edge, should be very interesting to see.
HL2 should be a fun game to play, as was the first part.
Eagerly awaiting both, no preferrence over one than the other. Both should be awesome games! |
