u are hole bunch of lamers, 9600 pro name is misleading, the card has a CUT in half 128 bit memory BUS!!!!
9500 PRO has 256 bit memory BUS and outperforms it badly....
This just shows that u know nothing, and simply yell ATI is good, nVidia sux, lamers. |

I recommend:
ASUS A7N8X DELUXE motherboard, the best without any questiosn with all the features and only around ~125$
AMD XP 2500+ BARTON -> then you will overclock it to 2800+ very easily, simply by changing the multiplier in BIOS from 11 to 12.5, very easy
RAM, get 2 x 256 sticks of preferably Kingston or Crucial or other good known brand, make sure u RAM is low latency (timings 5-2-2-2) (CL=2.0), not CL=2.5
VIDEO, don't buy 9600 PRO, it's misleading, if you chose ATI, go for 9500 PRO or 9700 PRO, or even 9700 (you can flash BIOS and it will become 9700 PRO). ATI's a very cheap on ebay.com
if you need new HD, get WD (western digital) , some 7200 rpm, 2 meg cache will do, 8 megs cache ones perform exactly the same, no difference.
Also, I would recommend getting a FULL-tower good case with good power supply, like Antec or ENERMAX.

I also recommend the Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2 (thats what I have and I couldnt be any happier)
About processor, my Athlon XP 1700B will rape any barton youll bring on it (including an XP3000), I have my Athlon XP 1700 running at 2.4Ghz, which is higher then the Athlon XP 3000 that cost almost $200.
But the KEY word is VIDEO CARD and MEMORY, you get what you pay for, you buy cheap parts youll get a cheap computer that wont run squat. |

Dont give out wrong information, a regular Radeon 9700 will NEVER become a Radeon 9700 Pro, its impossible, yes you can overclock the normal 9700 but NEVER into anything near a 9700 Pro :rolleyes:
Ive said it before and I'll say it again, Ive been building computers for about 4+ years now, Ive done it all and Ive overclocked it all. |

there is no such MB as deluxe 2, LOL.
there are PCB revisions, super minor, which is :
ASUS a7n8x deluxe
PCB revision 1, 1.04, 1.06 and 2.0; not deluxe 2
XP 1700 running at 2.4? LOL. BUS speed and multiplier please and temp on it?
2500+ -> 2800+ 333 MHZ FSB -> 512 cache. |

u are wrong, the only difference between 9700 and 9700 pro is the CLOCK SPEED OF GPU AND MEMORY and nothing more!!!!
ALL U DO TO CONVERT 9700 TO 9700 PRO IS FLASH THE BIOS AND CHECK THE CLOCK SPEEDS WITH RIVA-TUNER.

EXTRA NOTE: MEMORY SPEED MUST MATCH (BE SYNCRONOUS) WITH THE BUS SPEED OF THE CPU.
IF U CPU IS 333 MHZ FSB, BUY ONLY 333 MHZ RAM, NOT FASTER OR SLOWER ONLESS U WANT TO TRY TO OVERCLOCK THE FSB OF THE CPU TO 400 MHZ.
SYNCHRONOUS RAM AFFECTS THE PERFORMANCE AS MUCH AS 40%.
and u must get 2 sticks, not 1, not 3, but 2 for nForce 2 boards, otherwise with 1 stick it will perform worse than VIA chipsets. |

Rofl wow you calling us lamers cuz you think your Mr. Right..You really really need to research before you open your mouth.. A 9500 PRO IS 128!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm also explaining that 9600 pro can overclock to a 9800 and can outperform fx 5900. I never said nvidia sucks so quit putting in people's mouths. I only said the FX cards suck.. I even explained that the geforce TI are way better then the FX cards You have too much hate and when you disagree with something you call us lamers. Tells a lot when you say that we are going for ati and bashing nvidia. So tell me if your arguing against the radeon cards what side are you on? Cuz you did bash the 9700 and the 9600 and the mobility cards.. I'm guessing your an nvidiot.. but if your not then why the hell are you replying on this and telling everyone their wrong. Cuz out of all the people here your the only one that disgrees with the radeons. Why the heck are we even going back to old school cards this is NOW. |
