I still don't really even know what "trance" is (you can flame me now :p) but the dork who referred me to this board sent me a couple of songs that i liked and I started listenin to the Essential mix and grabbed a couple of mixes off of this site and I must say I like it in general. Went and bought Tiesto - Nyana today and must say I enjoy it.

But I have ecclectic tastes...I still listen to GWAR almost daily :eyespop:

Gwar? thats the sick metal stuff right? ah, aint nothin wrong with liking somethin else a lot besides trance...i listen to trance almost 99.8% of the time, but the rest is classical, light sounds, rock/metal. i love Manson....not what he represents, but his music. I still love Twisted Sister and Offspring.....

It is a satirical band of aliens who rape, murder, and defile humanity while playing a form of metal. So yes :D

Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry is one of the best albums ever. I have the live concert video from a Texas shopping mall...it is good stuff :D

All three....as well as S.M.F which was so much better with the interaction with the crowd. There is also a "music video" for one of their older tracks....I think it is "You can't stop roick and Roll" but not sure...has been several years since I watched it...I bought it for 2 bucks at a video store off their "used tapes" table.

I got into trance by following the evolution of dance music. First got into disco, then retro, then dance, then goa-psy, then techno, then trance ....:eyespop:

... and now all combined. with trance on top, of course.

Just blind picks at some CD store turned me on to trance, EDM.

Digital Empire 1, 2

plus video games Wipeout

movies Hackers, yes Mortal Kombat. I have all 3 soundtracks.. Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat: More Kombat, and MK Annihilation.

from there it was always browsing browsing browsing, CD shelves at the very end of the row marked "V/A compilation" or "electronica"

i discovered Moonshine and subscribed to URB for a year.

i guess i always liked it in a way from listening to it in films and stuff, kevin and perry being one i really remember, dont care what u say the music rules.

but i never really took the liking to the next level until i saw an ad for a trance nation cd, and the songs were mainly instrumental with good synth ryhmes. so i went and bought it and then i started downloading a lot of trance from here and other places.

then i got given a scott brown live set and that turned me to hardcore;)

was always into electronic music of some sort. didn't really discover "trance" till i was about 17 or so.

my parents have video of me when i was a wee lad dancing to 80's dance music (stuff with keyboard synths electronic beat and such). i used to have songs i called my "du-du's"
so i guess the electronic sounds were sorta pounded into my subconscouis when i was really young.
as i got older i always loved hearing "club music" i remember i used to listen to some "ultimate dance" CD my mom got as a gift and the "night at the roxbury" soundtrack all the time.

eventually i got older, and my ears matured and i discovered the internet, and my tastes evolved into house then to trance then to progressive and everything really.
