Monotoon gebeuk, kon me niet boeien.

OK, here are some reviews, that pic inspired me :D

Melkweg 31st

The Melkweg was absolutely rammed, which unfortunately made it too hard for me to dance properly on the dancefloor. The Gallery was a good substitute though, very nice overview of the boiling dancefloor and the dj booth. Insane lightshow as well, esp the laser worked incredibly well.

As for the music:

WOW. Tom was better than I could ever had imagined, and after that set I do not regret one second that I voted for him @ DJ Mag.

Some tracks:

BK & Nick Sentience - Flash
K90 - Into The Future @ +6 :eyespop:
Vincent de Moor - Flowtation (Mr.Bishi Remix)
Tom's Rawgirl <- it didn't have the RAW 009 part in it tho :(
Eddie Lock - Bang To The Beat Of The Drum

plus an insane bunch of old Nu NRG tracks at the start. Absolutely mindblowing, and luckily he didn't get drunk as a skunk, so the mixing was solid.

Also huge respect to Ade Fenton in the Old Hall for an absolutely sick techno set going from detroit jackstyle techno over german hard as nails to swedish tribal and back again, all while slamming the faders back and forth across the groove, raping the FX unit and rock solid mixing.

And who the hell is Langue de Groovedealer??? :eyes: Steve Hill played too cheesy for my liking, so I walked into the Old Hall and was greeted with the furious groove of Pascal FEOS - I Can Feel That (tuuuuuune!), and it only got better from there. Facking ace!!

Scot P was alright. The set lacked a real flow, but it sure was great to hear stuff like Hennes & Cold - Can't Have Enough, Yoji - Ding-A-Ling (Scot P Remix) and Arome - Visions Of Paradize (which sounds soooo much better live than at home), and the crowd loved it.

HQ was the event I had looked forward to the most, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Hope to be at another edition soon.

Mazzo 30th

Got in via free passes (thanks redeye;)), without em I probably would have had the same fate as kolkiewolkie. The bouncers were friendly, and the club itself had a very classy feel to it, loved the couches and the plants, and the dj booth's oldschool-desk theme was a very nice change. Cool to have it as close as it was too.

Harry Lemon played a solid set, altho he did get the rather ungrateful job of playing the warmup slot, which meant almost no crowd whatsoever to begin with. That however, changed when Origene - Sanctuary (Harry Lemon Remix) came on. After the first few minutes of its fierce drive more and more peole slowly but surely started dancing, and Harry noticed and kept increasing the funkiness, along with a few more mellow moments, like Portishead - Roads (Sultan & The Greek Remix).

Then it was time for the star of the night, Armin van Buuren. Since I had never seen him live before, I was excited, however his latest sets have bored the hell out of me, so my expectations were not that high. It started off great though. Tracks like Roland Klinkenberg - Monday Groove, P.Diddy - Let's Get Ill / Roland Klinkenberg - Melting Point and several other hard and funky prog tunes went down a treat with the responsive and up for it audience, and I was bouncing around
quite happily to Armin's fierce beats. The intimacy of the booth added to the overall atmosphere, especially with a crowd interaction like Armin's. After a while Armin went over to his trancy side, and unfortunately that's where I lost interest. The tracks just wouldn't do it for me, just like I was afraid of before I came here. It was very nice to hear (and sing along to) Andain - Beautiful Things and Katana - Tribal Shock though. :)

After Armin was done Markus was up, but I was so mashed after dancing my ass off to Armin and Harry that I didn't have much energy left. However, Markus layed down a great set, lots of melodic progressive (Chable & Bonnici - Ride :eyes: ) spiced up with the odd techy house tune (Agoria - La Onzieme Marché (Phil Kieran Remix) ), which forced me back on the floor to use my last energy reserves for dancing.

But, as my energy wore off, I decided to call it a night since I had two more days to go. Managed to have a quick chat with Harry before I left (really nice guy :)), and his next tune will be a lot more techy than usual, so look out for that one. Btw, I must have seen SOME of you guys there, TA was represented in full force according to the reviews, which is always good to hear.

That's it from me for now, but keep an eye on i:Vibes.nu, I will write a full review of my ADE experience there (you got a sample of it with this post ;)) along with pictures from all the nights I attended.

Like I said, I am absolutely exhausted after 4 straight days of partying, but boy was it worth it. My custom text says it all really, and I can't wait to get back to Holland again!

Malleties
Went to melkweg last thursday, que pasa in the main hall, Satoshi in de small one. Satoshi was great, best ever. The discs he made for nubreed freak me out every time i listen to them.
