well i voted yes. but i dont think of god as a 'being'. if god were a single being seperate from our own then god would have to have parents or a god itslef... yeah yeah weve all heard that right? so why did i vote yes? i certainly dont believe in gods gods gods god etc... i think of god as being all around us. god is everywhere and everything. i believe in the big bang theory. but i believe it was god that created it. and god that messed around with life on earth and eventually led to humans... basic biology... but god has to be everywhere, every atom, every molecule, at least in my humble opinion. but my views have changed throughout the years and they may yet change again. but now yeah, there is definetly a god of some type.

I'd like to know where you have seen this, cos my experience with christian environments is nowhere near as harsh and unfair as this. There's a difference between questioning your god (which is a crime according to the bible) and questioning your faith and its rules and regulations (which at least the church here in Norway encourages people to do, christians and non-christians alike).

As for my belief in god or not: I really don't care. I don't need something to believe in, so I'll leave all the existential questions and belief issues to those who do need it.

The American priest and bishops at the church my mum goes to. My family goes to Polish mass, and we're on good terms with the priest, as are usually all Polaks.

If you question whether not it is plausable that a diety does in fact, exist, it was viewed as though you were committing a sin. I was amazed at the list of things my friend had to do to be forgiven in the eyes of God for her sins.

Btw, it's a Roman Catholic church. I know a bit about many religions, but Christianity just irritates the hell out of me so I tend to steer far away from that direction.

my reason for their being no god is based mostly on darwins evolution theory, if you braek things down to their basic elements like carbon and hydrogen and all that you realise thats what we are made of.. then if you think when you die them elements just return to the ground and are eaten or whatever and therefore recycled... this shows to me that every piece o life on earth is totally random and you are extremely lucky that you are alive! :D now go out and live your life

btw incase you were wondering me and a mate spent hours at works discussing this matter, thats how boring my job is:D

I don't believe there is no god becuase I have a ty life and blame "him" for it - I happen to feel I have a fairly good life but I do becuase it is what I made it.. not what some "all mighty" as made for me..
BadBadNeil
i say there is a god but its not like we think. I think of god as a single point in time an entity creating our universe. I also believe that god does nothing to interrupt our lives, that is free will. That is why there is death and destruction.

What a close vote. If the Nay side wins, does that mean God doesn't exist?
