I do, on the other hand, have respect for underground hip-hop, much of which is rather deep and profound on a lyrical level, though not necessarily on a musical one.

Holy so next thing I'm gonna hear that because rap is influencing kids now we're gonna blame Tupac the next time some black kid feels like shooting someone just because he liked Tupac  please.

Everyones entitled to their opinion and because most of the people criticizing rap are either judging mainstream or don't know what they're talking about just leave them to their ignorant opinions. You can hate rap all you want and thats your opinion but there are talented people out there who make money and who people listen to BECAUSE THEY'RE GOOD.

Just like Britney Spears is "good" right? and thats why ppl listen to her music. I mean the music other people write for her.

Because you are part of TA I'm sure you can understand that being good has very little to do with being popular in almost anything entertainment related. ie Keanu Reeves has virtually zero acting ability.

Gotta love the last-resort "I know what I'm talking about and you don't, so nyah" defense.

I was mainly referring to rappers less known, not mainstream ones, like how 50 used to be and just other talented rappers that are either not very mainstream or not mainstream at all but mainstream does not neccessarily mean bad. Britney sucks ass but I will admit that there are certain talented pop artists out there that are or were considered main stream.

But anyways about the BS influencing black kids/wiggers, that's just BS, parents should be raising kids themselves not relying on rap artists to do it so if one kid shoots another and blames it on an Em song then let the parents fry
