you know, i agree, i don't listen to rap, but even i know that what they show on mtv and play on radio - is not rap, it's garbage.

it's all about old school, and even i sometimes enjoy hip hop and crazy turntablism...

as for mtv rap... it can go die... bling bling my ass

Why is everybody has to come up with tupac, isnt he waas allways talked about thug life and being thug 24/7?
And who started this whole east coast , west coast war ? wasnt tupac and Biggie?

Stop saying tupac was the best, all he was talking about thug this, thug that, god is a thug, thug life.

:whip:

Real hip hop would be :Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Sugarhill Gang, Stereo mcs, Krs-One
Isnt Tupac started this whole Gangsta rap bull? And now every rapper wanna be gangsta ,becouse of tupac.

Tupac was Gangster rap , not hip -hop

haha definatly. theres a big difference between hip hop and rap. and theres also a big difference between what the you hear on the radio is and the real stuff

i just enjoy electronica so much, hip hop doesn't appeal to me too much that i'd want to spend my time listening to it. i have a hard enuf time finding time to listen to the good electronica i wanna listend to.

Btw. Why is it that all the "Artists" now refer to them selves as "Pimps"?

Before it used to be "Gangstas". Guess it was to dangerous doing all that gangsta stuff, the risk of beeing shot suddenly hit them when they saw their fellow gangsters dying like flies. No wonder, when you take a look at how they dress. They found that Pimping was a much safer occupation. :haha:

Rap sucks. They may as well talk as fast as they can over the sound of my hedge trimmer; it's got about as much musical originality in it.

I love trance because of the creativity and originality of the music. It's constantly evolving into new things, with new sounds and effects/patterns.

The music that accompanies the rapping can barely be classified as music in most cases. The lyrics mean nothing to me for the most part. I dont try to find a deep meaning to a song by figuring out the meaning of the lyrics, I just see the lyrics as another element of the music, which in most cases make it all the better.

If I apply the same reasoning to rap, I end up with pretty much nothing. They dont sing in tune with the melody, so the words dont accompany the song in any way. Take the lyrics away from a rap song, and you're left with nothing, which i'm certainly not going to listen to.
