that dvd was ing boring and lame, and the set sucked ass. Ferry's 8 hour blew tiestos out of the water that year, and wow he has ing fireworks does he want a cookie? he is not number one skill wise only but how many wanks voted for him, anyone who doesnt have their head rammed up thier ass knows that poll aint , Tiesto is a medium DJ, he has a medium ability in producing, and while his sets at clubs are usually decent I think his 8 hour set is probably a sign of his downfall, it just droned on and on. Some classics would have helped it out majorly and a few less tiesto mixes, even if he is tiesto, an overkill of even your own productions ruins a set as it doesnt have enough diversity.

What the hell is that , we like other DJs because they have more talent, at least this forum doesnt say what other forums do, IE "Tiesto vs Nokia Phone: Nokia phone wins" you want to see tiesto hatred, go to www.discogs.com forums, you will see worst flaming you have ever seen, its time you bandwagoners, get off the ing tiesto worshoping, he hasnt done anything to make him godlike, and he got number one award in a year he wasnt even doing that good, Tiesto is long past his prime, and far meeker than many other DJs out there who just dont have the years behind em yet, I have a long list of DJs i would see for talent and track lists before tiesto,
We arent trying to be cool, we are just more knowledgeable on DJs than you are, and can name DJs who dont have DVDs released. The Tshirts and DVDs are a sure sign that they have gone over comercial, you cant say your all about the music when you are merchadising more than producing. |

but seriously, i'm not just mentioning sets from the past, Innercity and Revolution are from the last few months. and i could analyze the structure of the set i heard Tijs spin live last Saturday. but dense and narrow-minded folks like you get all offended and personal when they read things they can't understand.
what i say is just opinion, and since i actually study music and plan to be a professional musician, my perspective is not a traditional one in TA....i'm coming from a different school of thought and music-making. what i say is always opinion based on my background, and i abhor anyone that speaks of music as having objective TRUTHS so you're really mistaken with me.

and i agree 100%. the same thing has happened throughout history not just with djs, but with artists in general. Clasical purists hated Beethoven for violating all of the standard concepts of structure and so on. Not to mention the advent of modern art and music. Picasso, Stravinsky, Schoenberg. Structure or chaos...really old debate but all in all plainly subjective. |

Tiesto's sets are more famous... downloaded and burned the most on this site. He is alwyas the topic of discusion... when he comes to a city.. threads counts on this site multiply, posts and attendees are in the hundreds, and he is the best..
Too bad Digweeds mixing cant even be noticed... half the place is usually sleeping in the corner. |
