my fellow bartenders gave me the sweetest last day ever. the whole bar toasted to me at 5:30, a really nice toast written by one of the bartenders, something about cheers, beers, and tears, lol. they gave dozens of pink and glittery roses, a huge basket full of all kinds of stuff for the beach, and pictures of all of them. and the cake of course. and all night regulars were giving me all kinds of little gifts. i cried all night, lol. and i dont think i ever drank so much in my whole life.
the best part of the entire night was when the VP of operations came in to see me, and gave me a hug and tried to persuade me not to go. and he said if i ever wanted to come back, i have a place here. this is the same guy who fired me 3 years ago a week before christmas. and when the VP himself comes down to fire you, that's pretty big. so this coming from him was totally mindblowing to me. |
