Seriously, I wouldnt hold my breathe on space calling u, im telling u, hit up hard rock in hollywood, thats a cash cow for sure |

i tried, actually. none of the bars there were hiring. and i'm NOT counting on space, but hey, if they called me someday, i wouldnt decline.
this new place should be cool. its on Las Olas Riverfront so at least the area is busy. I have an interview at Mangos on south beach tonight. i'm still deciding if i am going to go. i also had an interview yesterday at Automatic Slims that went really well. but for now i'm going to see how Mai Tai's is. |

Not really. That is a very common thing in restaurants, retail and all other sorts of jobs. Lots of jobs out there where people come and go like crazy. I work a part time job as well as a full time job. Part time at Express for Men and since I have been there in November there must have honestly been about 30 people who have left and those who have been hired. It is an awesome place to work but just has a lot of employees who come and go.

so, i got the job at Mangos....
it was kinda scary. i went there thinking i was just going for an interview, ended up having to take a written food and alcohol test, an actual bar test, and then he's like, "ok go to this room for your audition". i'm like... huh. so i had to go into a room and dance to all kinds of music in front of a bunch of people. that was kinda scary. but i got the job and it looks like a really fun place to work. they give dance classes every week, you learn how to salsa and mirengue(sp?) and basically you have to dance the whole night, behind (and on top of) the bar. the only REALLY scary part is the outfits... they let me borrow one for tomorrow... its this little one-piece leopard thing, i'm REALLY uneasy about that but oh well, i guess i'll get used to it. they say the money there is phenomenal and when i get out of work at 5 or 6 am, i am totally going to sleep on the beach all day :)
my training will be done this weekend so i can still give Mai Tai's a shot on monday and see if i like it.
now i gotta go learn all their drinks. nite nite!
