I was hanging out at the main amphitheater from 3pm to 1am. Sander rocked my world, as did pete tong ironically, as I've never listened to much of him. I didn't recognize much from Sander but Tong played this remix of the Beastie Boys Intergalactic that had my jumping like there's no tomorrow.
Junkie XL played all of his classics (most of which I never knew were his) such as the Red Pill. Not sure of the names of the others...
Tiesto was a bit disapointing. It was much more tame than I'd expected and not in a chilled out laid back way, just a pseudo boring way. Besides lethal industry of course and Traffic I didn't really recognize much---except for another beastie boys remix (I think tiesto played it anyway..may have been Junkie XL) of Fight for the Right (to Party).
Oakenfold was very, very disapointing. He was the first DJ I ever listened to (Ibiza '99 was my first set heard) and I will always have a soft spot for the guy, but his set was nothing. And wtf is up with his hair???
Chemical Brothers rocked the house, but it didn't come close to their counter-band from last year, Underworld. They didn't play any of their classics either.
Paul van Dyk blew my mind. He played all his classics, I believe he started with the club mix of Time of our Lives. One of the last songs was Crush, etc. More tracks for the list tomorrow.

I think Pete played the Nirvana Smells like Teen Spirit remix. May have been someone else.

Right when Pete started to play the sun went behind a Bank's building and it was no longer hotter than a blast furnace. I only had to make three water runs the whole night. They never took more than half an hour each, heh. They weren't exagerating when it said "50,000 people."

Everyone I met was awesome. There was Julie and her boyfriend from Tampa, Alex, Amy, Vanessa, etc. Dunno if any of you post here but I give you greetings nonetheless.

I was in the front and center section of the main Amphitheater, second row, middle, the whole time. I was wearing a grey collared shirt and black pants with black shoes. Sound familiar? Pictures will be up later.

I wish I could have gone to Opium to see Ferry, but I'm waaaay too tired. It was all I could do to drag myself home.

Anyone see Ferry and Sasha/Digweed? I missed both of them.

'Later.

what a BUZZKILL!!  Tiesto's first track is building up very nicely, just about to drop, then WTF happend? it just cut out!

Yes, I was very pleasantly surprised at Pete Tong and JunkieXL as well.

Tiesto was a but harder than i had expected but still amazing. the energy from the crowd was so intense.

umm, ok. WTF was up with P.Diddy. what a herb! and to be honest, i wasn't at all shocked to find Oakenfold play another boring set. No offense to Oakie but after the few times that i've seen him live i am convinced that he is a CD DJ. and his hair?! my goodness!

Got bored of chokenfold and went down to catch the end of Sasha and Digweed which was very not bad but Ferry OMG Ferry was just tearing it up BUT the crowd was pathetic. ok, first off the way they had him set waaay back on the stage kinda took away from the connection between the crowd/dj. but looking around you see a grey headed couple checking the time slots for the breakbeat tent (no lie) some jerk trippin' face pouring his $5 bottle of water all over everybody including myself, a pair of douche-e-llamas standing there having a conversation about God knows what (i think school) and timmy running your feet over with his wheelchair. after all of this i was turned off and reluctantly made my way back to the amphitheater hung around, waited for PVD. at this point i was pooped.

Got to see Arturo who i havn't seen since AbtSportsLine's B-day last year along with some other TA's which was a big plus. all in all, i think ULTRA just keeps getting better and has just about grown out of Bayfront Park, With an attendance of aprox 50,000 people that place was just about stuffed to the gills. Until next year! but until then i've got some good fresh memories to hold me over.

I have to agree with you on all of that, though I felt Tiesto could have been better. I missed Ferry and Sasha, I saved the seats for my group when they went off the see Ferry...grr...I hate taking one for the team. They left when Oakey came on, went to Ferry, came back, had a blast, when I was stuck listening to Oakey's half assed set. I swear, I have an incredible amount of respect for the man, but he needs to either get his act together or leave the scene.
Oh, and Junkie xl blew my mind; someone above said it was alright. I think he and Sander had the best sets...IMHO of course.

Chemical Bros. rocked. I was front row center and the bass was amazing.
