| i've seen the hit many times..naslund has his head down slightly but his body was not up fully...in the neutral zone. He got hit legally..it's not moore's fault that it was a legal hit. I think naslund would not have been injured if he had not down like that and his head was not like that and anyone who has their head down, body down in the neutral zone and at that level is asking for it. |

Bertuzzi should be out for more than 12 games  He in sucker punches a guy from the back and then rides his face into the ice? Whether he meant to put him in the hospital or not, when you're a star player should be able to think before you do something so stupid.
At least have some ing balls and attack him from the front.
And Naslunds injury a couple weeks back hardly justifies this; Moore isn't even the type of player to go out and injure someone on purpose. But whether it was on purpose or not, none of us will know.
Bertuzzi should've known better and acted better; attack him from the front, give the guy a slight chance to fight back. |

| As "Hockey Code" goes, Moore was held accountable for his hit on Naslund, this occured in the first period when Moore and Cooke fought, straight-up, face-to-face. So there was no need for Bertuzzi to come back at him, perhaps b/c they canucks were getting pounded so badly that he was frustrated and took it out on Moore:conf: We'll never know it seems, either way he has to be and will be held accountable for his actions. I think he's gonna get suspended for the rest of the season + playoffs. However w/ the amount of media attention this has been given, it could be as much as a year. . . . |

BERTUZZI FOR PRIME MINISTER!
By all rights, it could have been the Colorado players piling on Bertuzzi + Morris that broke his neck.
And the lack of the stick (as opposed to the McSorely case), can be a writ that stops the police from charging with assault.

The way the media is handling this makes me sick, there using him as a scap goat. The hit on Naslund was not legal, it was obvious that Moore went out of his way and took advantage of Naslund's obvious vunlerable position. Just because you see a player in a weak position doesn't mean you should take advantage of that.
The game was all fighting and pushing, and it was not all just on Moore, it was everyone, i mean even Worrell got in two fights. No ones complaining about that, but some people think its unfair that someone would want to fight Moore twice. Bah
Bertuzzi feels bad, and i feel bad for him how things went wrong. I also feel very bad for Moore and his family and wish them both the best. No one wanted this, it took a turn for the worst as it does everyday, this one was just more severe.
you media and you fans turning around and critizing someone for something a week ago they were screaming and yelling for. |

| that. i dont give a about the media turning this around on him. thats his own fault. you are a professional athlete and you have to think about your actions before you do them. thats a 6'4 250 lb body punching you in the face then slamming your head into the ice and jumping on top of you. that was a bush move on bertuzzi'a part. ive played the game for 14 years (at a rather high level)and when like that happens it gives a bad name to the game, plain and simple. |

Notice all the Vancouver people sticking up for him...
He's a goon, he's always been one. Is he a nice guy? Probably. Has he demonstrated in the past his reckless behaviour on the ice? Definitely. Is this latest incident a step over the line? It's about a mile over the line. He won't play again this year and he'll be lucky if that's all that happens. Bottom line, regardless of intention, you have to be responsible for your actions. Of course he wasn't thinking "let's drive his face into the ice and break his neck" but the fact remains that he came close to killing someone becuse of his brutish attitude. So do I think less of him now? Not really. He's obviously remorseful. That's good, but it's not good enough. Bertuzzi doesn't play this year, and the Canucks lose in the first round. |

| I agree he should be held accountable for his actions and what he did was reckless. But we all do things all the time before we think and sometimes it turns out bad. In know in way do I believe Bertuzzi meant to slam Moore's head into the ground! whether he triped over his own stick or got pulled with Moore it was not his intention and the dogpile did not help. All in all Bertuzzi should not be held responible for all that is wrong in the NHL. |

| it was a sucker punch...but these pro's are payed to be pro hockey players...like charles barkley said "I'm not payed to be a role model." But if it were me...after gettin my neck broke by this punk bitch of a man...id sue...then wait for the next game to take my stick and have a couple wacks at his head..."oops...i was tryin to get my balance back and i accidently took this jerks head off..." |

Worrell is on the team for one reason, and its not because of his skating ability:thepirate The bottom line is things were straightened out already, there wasn't a point to fight (what turned into attack) Moore again. Notice it was Worrell and May fighting each other both times, thats why they are on the teams, to enforce things on the ice (and score goals, in the case of may:thepirate )
So saying that people should be upset at Worrell for fighting twice in one game makes no sense. Moore isn't an enforcer, so theres no real reason to target him, unless you're getting back at him for the Naslund hit (hence the fight in the 1st period), all in all, I believe that Bertuzzi was frustrated w/ the way the game was turning out, saw Moore, thought that he could get Moore to fight and when Moore ignored him, Bertuzzi went after him anyways. |
