Well, there is nobody at Aria saying to dj's what to play.
DJ's are playing the music they like and they want to play.
Ferry is in a electro mood these days and what is the problem with that? Ferry played a amazing set and if you ''heard'' it was , well there was 1500 people going nuts last night.
Even the little electro part was perfect for me. I think Ferry was on fire last night.
Ferry was not really supposed to play for certain amount of times.
So he didn't stop before or after. He just played until he was really tired. |

ok, maybe i should make myself clear....I expected him to play electro. Im not an idiot. It didnt bother me that he played an hour of it. I hate it and thats my opinion. I have opened my mind, ive listened to a lot of it, and I dont like it.
What pisses me off is that he QUIT and HOUR AND A HALF EARLY! You people rip on PVD because he did the exact same thing, but you praise ferry for some reason. If you have an agreement to play for 4 hours, DO IT. You get paid thousands of dollars for a half days work. Someone needs to bring him down a notch and tell him to smarten up. |

there is about a hundred reason why a dj leaves early, and its not of your bizness....i agree you can be deceive but damn, live with it its not the end of the world....and btw, I never saw a dj punch in and out of his set....some play longer some dont... |

Yeah ok! Is one of those reasons that no one wanted to listen to him no more? Scared them off with all that electro.
I agree with you that the DJ has a hundred reasons to leave early, but doesn't the customers deserve a reason? Or do they just surrender their money like idiots? |

why are you trying to defend him? how can you possibly think its ok for a dj to leave when hes only completed 65% of his job? Again, I go back to the time where PVD stopped early...about the same length as ferry, yet people tear him a new .

look im not trying to defend him...i dont even like trance (well not very much) but when a dj leaves early, its really sad yeah, but its not your ing bizness and you have to do with it...anyways, Marco G rocked after ferry so dont complain! |

ok, this has nothing to do with trance, electro, reggae, or ing polka.
The whole "poor ferry, he must be so tired from all those gigs" excuse is garbage. Millions of people work harder for way less money. its his own fault if he accepted all these bookings. He should know by now that promoting an album is tough work. you have to fulfil your contractual obligations to the paying public. if you breach that obligation in any way, you are letting the public down.
I remember another trance DJ coming around a few months ago promoting an album. I think I saw him 2 times in 2 days. He played longer at both shows. I think his name was Armin van something. yeah, the one with class. The one that appreciates his fans and knows its them that generate the insanely large fees they recieve. |

First of all Shaun no one asked Ferry to play any style of music, I asked him to play sweetest dreams and satelite and he played neither! Secondly in our interview, I asked Ferry about electro and he stated that he likes it because he finds a 100% trance set to be flat.Thirdly Greg, Montreal does love it hard! Montreal is a techno city. I am however annoyed that Ferry did leave a little early, it does suck yes, however, I think under his tour circumstances it is excusable. Maybe he wasn't feeling well? Maybe he had a headache, who knows.
JF, enlighten us on how set lengths are decided by djs and owners. Is it just and agreement to pay, and Ferry says I'll play "x" hours?
I thouroughly enjoyed Ferry's set, was a little disapointed with no Autumn Tactics, it was a little hot, but a good vibe, and I felt the vibe was still there even after his electro! |
