Ok I've written up an author's agreement, which you must agree with before we will use your content.
If there is something in there that you don't agree with or something you think I should put in, email me and I'll consider your changes.

so this is negotiable between the authors and the website then? I was hoping this could be sort of "open-forum" article writing, so that we as producers could also allow large magazines to grab and publish our works if they like it. |

No large magazine would publish an article that was already posted on a website, I assure you. It might get your foot in the door though if you are good.
I've been talking with people about this issue quite a bit today, including a few other people that run similar sites, and all of them pretty much said what was stated in the agreement. They actually changed my mind on a large portion of it, so be happy :P.
The conclusion that we came up with, is that this site is going to be more like an "e-magazine" than an open forum. That is what the goal has been the whole time for us. Having articles with a quality that is extremely rare for the internet. And I think we are on the path to attaining that. But when have an "open forum" type of website, you loose that sovereignty. We aren't looking for a collection of forum posts (well,we might have some authors re-write their posts for us in a more suitable format, but that is a rare occurance), we are looking for top tier content. If you want forum posts, you can search TA :P.

Bringing this thread back up from the dead. Lately our biggest problem has been getting the articles in, I know there are lots of things that come up in your life etc, just talk to either myself or alanzo and we can usually work it out. (Some people have school conflicts.. and other people are fighting a war).
I just updated the status page, and set new dates for most articles. http://tranceproduction.com/status
The problem is, most people procrastinate, and assume they can write their article the night before or the day that it is due. We don't want that . I want you to write it in between the time you are assigned the article and the due date. That way I hope we can have a more .. consistent flow of articles.
For the most part all of the articles that we have had completed are top notch, and I am impressed at a certain few people's writing styles.
The only other thing that needs to be completed is the backend, but TI2ance is slightly difficult to get in contact with at times, so that is something I'll have to work at better.
I was hoping to be able to launch at the end of this month, but it seems we will be looking at mid to late june instead.
Oh, and if you haven't seen it this is the new design we will be using : http://vertr.com/tra
Thanks,

I'm actually working on it now. Our guys who were working on the backend.. either haven't proved to be reliable, or haven't had the time, so I'm working with a prexisting backend system.
