Not so sure we'd have rights to that name...

if your going to get this site of the ground, can you please include a section on common chord progressions / how to work out (a formula?) good chord progressions?

thanks.

Oh, and I need a staff list. If I or alanzo has been in contact with you I need a bit of info about you. PM these things to me.

Name, Alias, Age, Sex, Sequencer of Choice.

It is just so I can keep track of who is on my staff and who isn't :|. I need a fricken list! :D

a couple of suggestions or whatever:

maybe ask permission to use some of the better / best info off this site. There have been some extremely useful threads here that need consolidating, stuff like the fighting oompah-itis bass lines thread, the one on generic kick drum patterns and the frequency chart for mixing / mastering etc.

also, in terms of useful content, I think the emphasis should be on tutorials to begin with, as they are far more useful as a reference for beginners rather than reviews which other bigger sites already cover.

I really would like to get involved, but as I'm only a beginner myself I don't really know what I could contribute. Nice one with the www.tranceproduction.com domain, thats simple yet effective! :)

Seen as you've got quite a lot of work on your hands, if it were me I'd probably leave the above out, at least at first. There has to be loooads of good tutorials out there for the above topics, whereas the specifically trance orientated stuff is lacking...this being where your site comes in :)

agreed.. when we do get around to them they'll be judged specifically on their capability to sequence trance..

Yeah, would be nice with a site which is directly aimed to producers. If im can be to some help (i can for example write some Reason tutorials), contact me via my M$N and we can talk more.

[email protected] ;)

Well, we aren't saying that all of those are going to be done, those are just possibilities.

Anyways, a new status page is up @ http://tranceproduction.com/status/

Ok, well I have written a content management system for some previous web design work, I would be willing to give it to you guys and set it up (database, some custome coding etc..)

Nice work on the choice of domain name! Easy to remember, straight to the point!
