My mom is super religious, and any other type of music that isn't from a hymnal on a sunday morning, is bad. So she has some some pretty wacked out things to say in regards to trance. However the best thing she said to me was..."I don't think I approve of this music...it sounds like there are demons in the speakers that come out and put people into a frenzy!' hahahahahaha
I was like..."no mom, that is not the music, it's the drugs...lol":D |

yeah, most of the ppl i know either dun know wot it is or say the same stuff that have been mentioned all over in this thread.
i'm kool with the stuff that my friends listen to coz i use to listen to the same stuff as well. sometimes if peeves me off that ppl would rather listen to like Sugar Ray and Destiny's Child, where they talk about -all and then they say that "dance music" belongs only in clubs and all that...
well, @ least sydney's got two dedicated music stations that r worth listening to. |

man, must say there are some dumb people out there.... I use to DJ underage dance party's at a local club... the teeny boppers and we would get some ravers n sumtimes, if i got 1 cent fro each time i heard the following i would be a millionare right now "Cant u play somthing with words?????" me that me, so i'd keep pumpin out the trance, hehehe, one guy said to me, "ever since u started DJing here the place is so much better" i was rapped, he was jnr raver....
If u get a feelinf without words.... Now that has to be an achievment, i mean, words are like a bonus... if ya's know what i mean. Trance rocks and anyone who thinks else wise can suck on a cock... ya's all trance haters....

I hate people who listen to hard rock crap and say trance is mindless music where "they just press some buttons and the computer does all the work", "it's gay music", "it takes no talent unlike rock" ahh man I hate those people.. I have heard people say all that, it really pisses me off

I had a friend who liked Sash!
I thought I had some hope in him...maybe convert him to TA.
So i thought hard and picked the catchiest trance song and the one that got me into trance - Rank1's Airwave...passed the mp3 to him
He gave it a listen and told me it was repetitive,boring and too hard to listen without vocals and even deleted the mp3...I was so f*cking pissed..i cudnt reason with him too as to why he liked Sash! and not Rank1
Things r not in good terms with my friend(we were close friends for 7 years) Such a closed mind bastard !!! I mean...this guy is so goddam dumb...he is exceedingly stupid to have made such a comment !
I jus so f*cking hate closed mind ppl...worst part is...they cant keep their mouse shut...makes u wanna bash the motha focka up real hard on the spot !

this reminds me of this one night at a club here
my friend's girlfriend had come out with us to the club, and she spent the whole night bitching about the music
"this music sucks, how can anyone dance to it"
"they need to play somethig with words"
"i can't even tell when the next song starts!"
my reply to that one, "that means the dj is good"
"this is all trendy cheese, they need to play something like n'sync or some hiphop so the people can dance" <-- while looking at a packed dance floor :)
needless to say, that after that night, my friend dumped that bitch, and she's gone back to toronto :D |

well not exactly about trance but about dance music. I was watchin Much Music the other day and there was some rock band getting interviewed and they were saying that rock music rules blah blah it's # 1 type of music in Canada and they were also saying that dance music is all about kids doing E and then at the end of an interview they were asked to say something funny and then they go "...what did ravers say after they ran out of drugz? - boy, this music sucks..."
