that's what my dad always says too
he'll walk in and ask why my cd player is skipping |

not that i love commercial dance, but think about it.. if this track wasn't commercial, you would all like it..
and we get out here on crappy stations "oh yeah, we're playing the latest vinyl that's out in the clubs" and its like at least 8 months old!
(heard most of it from live sets heh) |

Where I live, I have been rather lucky, I left for school a general music lover and came back a trance Addict (Platipus converted me - Thanks Iggy). But I managed to convert my friends into somewhat TA's, they burn my compilations and are always asking for more it's pretty cool, but of course i have experienced the occassional retarded comment from joe blow who knows nothing. Hell my mom calls me Thumper. But my greatest achievement was after Destiny 31 in which Art of Trance, Terra Ferma, and Union Jack played a live PA, i managed to get my dad to actually sit down and actually listen to the music... The result: he has a every single one of my platipus compilations...Sweet Shiznat...
But i can see how people can just blow it off as crap, because to truly love the music you have to listen to the moving melodies and understand how the energy of the song progresses through the track, whereas the average listener is not used to actually breaking down the song and in reality gets confused by the bass lines...Trance is an electronic symphony and i actually prefer trance without lyrics. (howvever some of those lyrics really me up sometimes)
The essence of music is that of the melody, it's responsible for taking you the listner on a magical journey which can't be described by words...

| When I first discovered electronic dance music and was searching for so websites about it, I found a message posted on technomusic.com that said trance music is 160 bpm. Like it was all supposed to be the same speed. I must admit though,I knew so little about the music when I first discovered it that I actually believed it for a while, until I started finding some smarter people online. |

that sooo depends on what song you are listening too. You have really slow tunes and really fast ones. |
