Excatly! and you're the one that's bitching the MOST!! |
I'm not bitching about this particular event, I'm bitching about the idiots that are just trolling in this thread attacking everyone who thinks it's dangerous to be packed into a room head-to-head, shoulder-to-shoulder, and you are included in that list of idiots. Nothing you've said in this thread makes any sense - it's just inane rambling "oh please don't hurt my Guvernment, it's such a fun place and I wanna keep going and I don't care if somebody could die!!"
And FYI, I've been to plenty of other ridiculously overpacked events at the Guv. It sounds like Ferry was worse than usual, but I have a feeling that a LARGE number of their special events are WAY over legal capacity. |

This is getting OLD! Argue/Flame all ya want.. it's not going to solve the issue here. I'm sure Room2dance is going to do whatever the hell he wants to do. I just don't want to get hurt :p All I know is that coming home w/ bruises, heat exaustion, a burnt out eyeball, singed armhairs, a swollen temple, and numb foot is not my idea of a good time.
The overcrowdedness isn't THAT bad on certain nights, but other nights it can be brutal. You kinda gotta take a chance and expect it to be full of people and grin and bear it. Room2dance can't get anywhere on his own! Firemarshals would need a ton of complaints from people (I'm assuming) in order to take any sort of action. So what's the point here? Like someone mentioned earlier - I don't think anything is going to happen unless something serious happens. And like someone else mentioned, when it comes to clubs it's all about the money honey.
OH - one more point. When I was in line for ferry (1:30am) I didn't get in until about 3:00 (skipped coat check too). They werent letting people in until people started to come out - so doesn't that prove that they are doing their job when it comes to not overcrowding the Guv? :conf: |

hahaha...this thread is GREAT! :P
Diginut...I agree with much of what you say. Ad Hominem fallacies are plentiful on the net. You just get used to debating people who don't have the ability to logically argue their positions ;) |

You know whats funny? Ive been to events in many other parts of the world far more crowded than anyone here can ever imagine and you never see whole threads dedicated to crying about too many people and fire marshalls etc.
People even do worldwide reviews on other parts of this message board.
Toronto is full of nothing but moaners, whiners and complainers...
Sorry but it is...
You want to see overcrowding? Try Pacha in Buenos Aires, or any creamfields event in Europe or even some of the pubs i went to in Europe....
you'll see real over crowding then |

I think perhaps you are thinking of events with much greater attendance, but also held in much larger spaces. We aren't simply talking about the sheer number of people but also the size of the space they're crammed into; that's obviously the reason why the fire code specifies a legal capacity that depends on the shape and size of the building itself. |

No im talking about being crammed in so tight that u cant even move your body and the crowd dancing is what is making you dance. Im not exaggerating either. ive never seen so many people as when i go to other countries. This has been my experience in several locales the last one being at pacha in buenos aires.
You really have no idea how it gets... |
