HOoooooooooooooooLlllllllYyyyyyyyyyyy GUY!

MAN, What A night!

I got in line at around 10:45, right off the bat, i met 2 guys who i ended up seeing later, both TA's from Rochester. I told me not to buy tickets from a scalper as they were about to buy them, the scalper was pretty pissed, but hell if i care, i don't like scalpers.

I got into the KH, and like other mentioned, We couldn't go anywhere and I didn't feel like continusously checking, so i started drinking and dancing, Hyper was playing for good stuff,. Eventually i made my way over to catch DS and he was awesome, but i have to leave at 12:30 so i could get a good spot for TCM, really a joy to experience live, great vide and great lights, i was pumped, meet some more TA's couldn't hear what they were saying, but it was all about the groovin.

Got into the Guv, just as Junkie came on, started with the Elvis mix, JXL, what a guy, non-stop excitment. I have never gotten so pump about anything.. I was all over it! About an hour into it, i felt it coming to an end so i was constantly shouting for him to drop beauty never fades, I went right up to the front and got his attention, mouthed it to him and he looked right at me and nodded! I was going BALISTIC. But the guy made me wait anotehr 10 min, IT WAS SUCH A LONG build up, i was sooo hyped, then he dropped it, Im pretty sure i lost it completely. He played it for like 15 min, oh man, i was wrecked after that. I was soooo hungry and sooo thirsty, i had to sit down, He played the Beasty boys track, which was cool, and it sounded better int he Guv than when hyper (i think) spun it in the KH. By this time, i was almost about ready to leave, but then i had to stay for Armin, I HAD TO. so i found a place to sit and just chilled. WOW, was the Guv ever pounding, i felt my empty stomach shaking to the point where i felt a little nautious and thats when I left, I needed out.

So, out i walked to yonge to catch the blue night, only to realize that there are no busses that go up to steels in between 5:17 am and 6:30. that sucked, since i wasn't about to sit for an hour, i walked up yonge street, met a few junkies and eventually got home by 7.

Amazing Nihgt, Fully worth every penny of the 37 i paid.

I only wish i could ahve lasted longer.

Oh mannnn! sooo good. JXL pwns...

This was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had at the Guv. I got there around 11 and got in in about 5 mins flat....including coat check. That was the best organized entrance into the Guv that I've ever had. Well done.

Walked into the cool house and straight over to the door leading into the Orange room so I could get to the meet up in Charlies and they weren't letting anybody in so I had no idea where anybody was. I just walked around until I finally ran into Tordon who was surrounded by TA's.

I loved the Set up in the Kool Haus. They should do that more often. I think the definitely get more people in by doing it that way as well..........beautiful

I guess around 11:30 the doors opened to the Orange Room and within seconds the door was flooded with swarms of people. We all went to Charlies for the big meetup and I swear 90% of the people in that room were TA's...left right and centre...just everywhere.

Decided to go into the Guv to check out Crystal Method and decided once we got in there that it just wasn't worth it. Way too busy....once you got through the door, we just turned around

Hung out in Charlies for more...definitely a great vibe in their and the wicked beats of Vagrant, Deepgroove and Jon Trembley.

Then went over to the KoolHaus to hear the last hour of Dave Seaman and Junkie XL...whom I was there to see. I found him a bit slow at the beginning but it definitely picked up. That man knows how to put on a show.....hes got so much energy. I went absolutely insane when he dropped his remix of Breezer and then topped it off with Dirty Sticky Floors. Sorry for all the peoples whose feet I stepped on during these two songs, I just couldn't help myself. Lost my voice after that point but I've got it back this morning. I left the Kool Haus around 4:30 with drgoodvibe and tha broad as I couldn't stand anymore.

Shout outs to; drgoodvibe, tha_broad, Desidel, J_spot, Pixiechick, charmscars, mattvagrant, cono_sur, E2EIKIEL, Sgtfoo, max_q, Tordan, Gamma, Stereoprincess, Eso, Endlesswave, Loca, Loconet, the highroller, time2burn, infinity high, torontobarfly, chinaman, and ya thats all I can remember

and to the new TA's that I met last night, it was a pleasure

night 10/10

Hehe, minus the lost voice, thats my review to a T! Wikkid night!!

urg... I have got to take a pic of the bags under my eyes.. holy insane night.. Junkie XL did me in, movin and movin screaming and shouting until my tired abused body couldnt take anymore.

Cheers to guv for making this event one of the very best.

Cheers to all you awsome people that made last night so great. You guys and gals make clubbing not only an event to dance and let loose, but a social event.. I could name off names, but you know who you are ;) Nice meeting all you new people as well!

and lastly but not leastly, Cheers to John! Somebody give this man a prize, first and foremost question that he poses when you greet him.. "You get in ok?".

and here are the pics

:D Holly crap I just woke up and I feel like I'm still there...(4:30PM).
The night was incredible. I started off by not going at all actually, had too much work to do and study for my exams so I figured I'll just go with some friends to Picadilly...That was alright and we left at about 2, and meanwhile I'm thinking DAMN I'm SO not in the mood to go home right now...all of the sudden I get this voice message and then text messages..."I'm at the guv, where are you this place is incredible!!!" with beats in the background. Mind you I had NOT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST CLUE who that was but that was enough to convince me! I sent out a few text messages, grabbed out some cash from the bank and literally ran from yonge and queen down to the guv. Got there at about 3:00...NO LINEUP I was so happy, got a ticket...went inside and the place was OFFF THE HOOOOOK!!! Junkie apparently just came on and he was BLASTING the place away I was SO happy I made it! A few more text messages later and I was all over the Kool Haus meeting everyone. Finally a short while later I made my way through the crowd and I met my TOTAS :D!! Everyone was going nutts full force. Then I FINALLY met LinziE from Kingston (Ottawa)...it was long overdue! Partied up with her for the rest of the night untill I somehow lost everyone except Pettiskool. ANYWAY...Junkie was ripping the place apart...I have to say that I LOVE a dj who jumps and sings and dances with the crowd and he did just that...incredible set by him completely blew me away...I'M ON DIRTY STICKY FLOOR!!! Armin came on and he was all giggly and happy...well his usual self. Opened with Sahara as mentioned by so many already and that was great. I didn't like his 3rd and 4rth songs they were a bit too dark I thought but after that he just dished out BOMBS! He was totally bulding it up like crazy and when he played Mr. Sam - Naranja with this driving baseline my legs just went crazy...I was pretty exhausted and decided to call it a night at around 7:20...unfortunately I couldn't find anyone when I was leaving so I'm SOOOOOOO sorry I didn't say bye. I went through the crowd and just found some random TAs but none of my "crew". I'm glad to see everyone had an incredible time! I'm so glad I made it after all!! Holly crap that's a long review...sorry!:nervous:

P.S.
I have the say that I though the crowd was perfect and I really loved the setup last night. KH DJ booth was absolutely perfectly placed!

ok.. Im still alive, tho partly wishing I wasnt, because last night would have been one helluv a way to go out.

Amazing, Amazing night. Only low point was the ed up things w/ TCMs slot, which made me miss everything but Keep Hope Alive. Oh and the fucekd up no getting into Charlies, being stuck in Guv not knowing anybody there.

anyways...My personal tune of the night was not played by any headliner, but was played in Charlies by I dunno who (it was after Deep Groove)
Bullit - Cried to Dreams (Max Graham Remix):eyes: :eyes:
I love that song so much.

Caught the tail end of Phil Ks set, which was pretty rockin, kinda makes me wish I was in there longer..then Seaman came on, and slowed it down, bored me to death..so left, went back to Charlies, caught Keep Hope Alive, then wandered back over to Seaman, who had picked up his pace alot and was bangin it out. KH sounded pretty damn good last night, and it LOOKED even better. That layout works alot more that the other one. Its natural to take the shortest point between then entrances, and with that being the back of the Dance floor worked alot better.
Junkie XL I loved his set for the first 1:15 of it...then it just seemed to be dragging on, and he lost me in it. then the man

ARMIN
nuff said, he rocked it, and I left close to 7 I think, but not really sure. some great choons, but Ill let other people Id them.

TO think I nearly left for being sick...hoorah for getting better!
thanks to RyaaM, the doctaG and Chinaman for helping me out with that.

well yeah thats true, but if your like a rabid animal that really keeps up with whats coming out, the novelty of tracks is very important, im not proud of myself :P but there's nothing i can do, heehe.
infinity HiGH
Man, what a night!

I dont feel like posting a play-by-play review of my night; but lets just say it was AWESOME!

Phil K was a little weird, but got good towards the end; then Dave Seaman came on and he really pounded the crap out of the Kool Haus for the majority of his set. Some of the slower songs he played were alright too; didn't mind it 1 bit.

Junkie XL then came on and proceeded to kick everyones ass. Had no idea what to expect from this guy, but I must say he was awesome. But what exactly does he do up there? Just play tracks from CD and add effects over them?

I spent almost all of my night on the backstage; usually towards the front of it, where it was roomy, and nice and cool.

And finally, this needs a special mention; the eye-candy last night was :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
Yoshiesque
such an amazing night.... probably one of the best experiences i've had at the Guv complex.

i was expecting the place to be RAMMED!

i mean, the place was definately packed but i always had more then enough room to dance and getting from room to room was always quick and painless.. lets hope this is the start of a trend at guvernment!

i got into kool haus just before last call, and Dave Seaman was layin down some sweet beats. checked out Crystal Method in Guv and was lovin it! surprisingly enough, i haven't really heard any of their stuff before but they were really into it, and seeing them lay down killer tunes without any records was quite an experience! i'd love to check out more live PA's in the future..

after that it was time to explore the guv complex... walked upstairs and was intrigued by the room that overlooked the guv dancefloor... was it even a room?? it looked like a construction zone or something :P checked out the drink and charlies right after... very impressed with both rooms.. really nice setups and i was lovin the tunes in charlies.

went back to koolhaus and caught most of junkie xl's set.... what can i say, this guy was laying it down! i was seriously having flashbacks of tiesto in june with the redpill/bluepill track and some of the other sequences he played... but even though i was enjoying his set, for the 30mins after 4:00 i just wanted him to get off so we could have armin! he's the man i came to see and the anticipation was killin me :P

armin finally came on and was layin it down all night! i really wanted to stay until the lights came on, but my friend had ran outta steam long ago :P i left at 8:15, right when he was layin down a killer track! possibly his closer?? what time did he finish at...??? i'd hate to have missed him closing by only a minute or two!

wow this is getting long... anyways, it was simply an incredible night. no other music can keep me on the dancefloor for 7 hours straight, completely sober. i've always known, but i really realized last night.... i AM a tranceaddict! haha... always have been. :happy2:

dont worry guy you missed only avb ft ray wilson - yet another day [remix?], track is alright but nothing really good.
Swamper
Junkie XL took the night for me - and I wasn't expecting a repeat of what he did in Miami (quality wise) but I was gladly proved wrong.

It didn't seem like Seaman was even there (to be honest)......

As for Armin, his track selection was great but I'm sorry to me it seemed like a jukebox kind of set - programming was all over the place... I didn't feel like he was going anywhere in the night, it was just a random track after another - you know what I mean. (All I have to say, is that he better play Blue Fear at Bal en Blanc, lol. :))

The party as a whole looked good, coat check was amazingly efficient and you couldn't move in the main room early on in the night.
