Do you think Steve Hellstrip is unimaginative?

This thought was prompted upon recentyl listening to his remix of Emotions In Motion, another one of his works that follows the "textbook structure". Every one of Steves productions follows that same structure, and i don't really get excited anymore when i hear that he has made or remixed a new song, because i know what to expect.
His productions/remixes that follow the textbook structure:
The Thrillseekers- Synaesthesia
The Thrillseekers- Synaesthesia (En Motion mix)
The Thrillseekers- Dreaming Of You
The Thrillseekers- New Life
Orinoko- Island (Thrillseekers mix)
Sholan- Can You Feel (Thrillseekers mix)
Jan Johnston- Calling your Name (Thrillseekers mix)
Vincent De Moor- Fly Away (Thrillseekers mix)
Insigma- Avalon
Rapid Eye- Santa Cruz
En Motion- Getting Away With It
Chicane- Autumn Tactics (Thrillseekers mix)
Hydra- Affinity
Witness of Wonder- Emotions in Motion(Thrillseekers mix)
I know there's more i just can't think of them atm. Apart from his remix of Saltwater, I don't recall ever hearing a Steve Hellstrip track that has a unique structure. I'm not doubting that this guy has talent, but do u ppl think that it is getting lame that he can't vary his song structure? Or do u think that all his songs are unique and that its fine that he doesn't deviate from the textbook structure..? |

| i'm sorry, but hydra - affinity and rapid eye - circa forever are two of the most amazing tracks ever produced. |

Don't be a cock, he just stated his opinion on a producer.
@ teknoking: You might wanna elaborate a little on this:

let me guess its steve's downfall 2? IMO all thoes tracks are better then 99.9% of the asot out there.
You dislike his "text book" style. But every other producer that has changed styles, over the years, tiesto, ferry, paul have also have gotten bashed for changing styles.
will people make up your friggin minds? |

| It's not about changing styles, on the contrary, the point he's arguing is that he hasn't done anything different for ages, and that his tracks all sound similar. |

im sorry structure not style. but they are basically the same thing. same structure leads to the same style |

That doesn't change the fact that the point he argued was that he hasn't changed his structure for ages, while you argued that he was slating him for actually changing it.

And whether it is better than ASOT trance or not (funny you should mention that seeing as Armin is one of the biggest supporters of Helstrip's new productions) is also completely irrelevant. |

all the producers used to have their own style.
Paul, ferry, tiesto had their own specific style/structure of tracks. Everything that paul produced sounded like "genuine pvd." Like the pvd every one "used" to love. now when he changes his style and structure...reflections,just be, right of way, name your album today, people dont like it. People wish that the producers kept their old specific style. The topic shouldn't be that helstrip is unimaginative, because he uses his own personal sounds. But why all the other trance producers out there sound the same. |

the only reason to listen to asot would be to hear a new helstrip track :toothless |
