If I remember correctly, there are two cases where US soldiers have apparently murdered inmates. So yes, the two are somewhat comparable – in both cases people have seemingly died.

Yet their innocence/guilt is irrelevant?

"If", "apparently", "somewhat", and "seemingly" are not definitive words, and will never win you a trial.

Berg was definitively, absolutely, and genuinely beheaded by savage extremists, and he was guilty of nothing but trying to offer his efforts to rebuild a country in bad need of rebuilding. The only thing he was guilty of was being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

People!
War is ugly, very ugly and sad things happen. No one over there is immune, military, civilians, dogs & even camels. The enemy is everywhere and anywhere. Too bad we can't line them up and see how many heads a 50 caliber bullet can go through, by that I mean the ****** terrorists who did the beheading.:D

Yes, war is ugly. I'm not taking any sides here but don't you think the friends and families of those Iraqis who were tortured and/or killed by the US soldiers are thinking the same thing about the US military.

I couldn't tell you, I'm not them. But one thing for sure, I'd rather see a family member humiliated and ALIVE, then beheaded on the world wide web!
In any case, I'm sure they're ain't happy about it. Honestly, I don't care.;)

Hmmm...if you're speaking of the same person I'm thinking of, who said that he's been so humiliated that he can't ever go back to Iraq. I believe he said he wants to come live in the U.S. now. Oh the irony!

And I hate it when people call me "mate". WTF, mate?

oh my, he saw 1 person saying that(which i never saw) and suddenly his story is right

and the other victims share the same opnion because he see 1 person saying i wanne live in the USA..lol

now thats irony..

for each action, comes a reaction, even a dutch sergant died now because of your stupid army, the dutch people are doing a mission in the south of iraq, and they got welcomed nice there, but after this, revenge is what many people want, because it's basiclly betrail.

Many people thought they are free now, when the statue got ripped off, people dancing with the soldiers and stuff, yes they cheerd them, but this got to far, and america should off now and UN must start having a roll in the reconstruction of iraq.

What are you, 14? I can barely understand anything you've written! My grammar/spell check crashed my computer trying to go through that last rant.:wtf:

Actually I'm all for UN soldiers getting the responsability of getting shot at by unhappy Iraqis. Unfortunately, there is too much money at stake here, forget the well being of US soldiers and coalition troops. Like gangsta rappers says "money make the world go round" Werd!

Wha? Seriously, I realize there is a multi-cultural presence in this forum, but I can't follow some of the incoherent ramblings at times. Maybe it's just me.

Just real quick regarding the body count of Iraqi civilians. Check out iraqbodycount.org, the site that professes so much innocent death and then check out their database page. It lists how these "innocents" were killed. You'll see that 1/3 to 1/2 of these deaths were caused by their own countrymen. I'm sorry but when a suicide bomber blows up a US roadblock and takes Iraqi civilians with then, or when an Iraqi opens fire on a crowded market, that is not death do to US action. It is some convoluted causality used to bolster their numbers to heighten their sympathetic outcry. I take it that the person pulling the trigger or detonating the bomb, or ordering someone else to do the same is the cause of death, not the US when someone trying to kill them kills someone else. That's like saying if somone trys to shoot me, misses, and kills someone else, I'm responsible for their death. The 10,000 number is simply ridiculous propoganda.
