| I think we should use Rockaway beach. I will have more pull with Queens NYPD than with Brooklyn or Bronx NYPD. As Vlad mentioned, It is a huge beach and there are plenty of non-residential areas. As far as time goes, I would think that the permits would only be valid until 11:59PM on 8-21-04 otherwise we'd need 2 day permits. I'll check this out when I get to the police dept. I'm shooting for the Monday after Summer Stage to get this done. I'm pretty busy until then. I'm thinking it should be a 12 or 16 hour thing. We'll use 8am to 11:59pm. we'll use 8am til 12pm as set up times and 12 til 12 for party times. What do you all think? |

| I guess that seems reasonable... cause then everyone can go on their merry ways to which ever clubs they want to go to especially if someone good is playing. |

Honestly, don't mean to sound rude, but I'm not worried about what everyone wants to do afterwards or during the same day. I mean, we're sitting here (Vlad, Brian & myself)trying to get this shindig, which is going to be off the hook mind you, to happen, and people are asking what if there is someone special playing that day somewhere else or if there is some other phat daytime party happening. Well, you know what, if hanging out and partying with fellow TA's that def know how to have a good time isn't good enough, then don't come. Simple as that. The party is still going to go on whether they come or not. We all sit here and talk to eachother often enough and occasionally have the time to hang out at special performances. I would consider this one of those events. I mean how often if ever has anyone been to a TA beach party in the summer? Just thinking of it hypes me up enough. I'd really love for everyone to come because it's going to be that awesome and it would be great to have all of us together to party like this. I'm sorry if this came across rude, but I think you can see it from my view.:) |

I agree...let's all step away from bowing down to over hyped DJs for one day. You all will see that there are plenty of DJs out there more than capable of providing a well thought out set.
And on that note...How does one go about getting themselves on this bill?:) |

| Oh, and about my little rant up there. I'm just extremely happy and proud to be a TA. The thought of partying with some of the really awesome people that we have in this forum just surpasses any thoughts of going to see a major dj. I'd rather do a TA event any day of the week. Plus it gives some of our own TA DJ's some time to strut their stuff. To me, it's more important to support our own than to support the other dj's the live "the lifestyle of the rich & famous".:) ;) |

LOL! Brian & Vlad are handling the "Performers List" I would talk to them about this subject. I don't see a problem with it though. We'll add you to the "attendee's list" for sure. |

For real guys.....lets use this as an event to get to know eachother better. Screw the big name djs for one weekend and lets give the TA djs some time to shine. I know alot of you guys have some really good tallent but I have yet to even attend one of Vics loft partys:(
Even if we dont get the 48 permit and can only do the 12 hour party....thats plenty of time to get jiggy wiff it:p I cant wait for this to happen......its gonna ROCK!!!:crazy: |
