I don't care what ANYONE says. FRIDAY NIGHT WAS AMAZING!! I missed Walter Rosati and Mark Oliver.....which sucked big time. BUT, I showed up while jelo was playing, and he was AWESOME!! Someone said that it was boring hardtrance that didn't go anywhere. Well, boring hardtrance just happens to be an oxy moron, and i LOVED his set. then Madam Zu.......THAT IS ONE AMAZING CHICK! I loved her set. I loved basically everything i heard. And, yes, it wasn't packed to the brim with people on friday, but i found that there were just enough so you had space to dance it up, without running into everyone. Which didn't really matter anyway, because every single person that i accidentaly bumped into (or vice-versa) apologized and smiled. it was a great atmosphere and crowd.

SATURDAY NIGHT KICKED ASS!!!!!! Main highlights: LAB 4!!!!! You can tell that those guys have insane passion for their work. They loved making the crowd groove to their music. Also, DAVE the Drummer and Deko-ze......AMAZING. I loved it all. I heard Murder was the Bass three times, and didn't care because that song is so energizing and fun to dance to. Also, seeing motorcycle was cool. IT WAS JUST ALL SO GREAT! But my favourite was definately Lab 4.

anyways, it was hardcore better than last year. the rooms were bigger, as well as the camp ground. and YES, it got hot in there.....tell me about a room where hundreds of dancing freaks are bopping around, with crazy lights and smoke machines, that DOESN'T get hot, and I'll be extremely suprised. Air conditioning is extremely expense, and it really wasn't that bad compared to last year. My only complaint was how chincy they were with the bathrooms. At one point on saturday night, or early morning, they locked the doors, and didn't unlock them at all!! (unless they unlocked it after i left). I'm sure there was a good reason, but in that case maybe it would have been better if the portable toilets weren't overflowing with partially digested poutines......ew. sorry.

ANYWAYS, AWESOME TIME!! loved every minute.

about those portajohns.... i would like to know who the sick bastard was who put down those top o the heap coils on top of the overflowing cans... i opened one door and saw someones dinner sitting a good 6 inches above the seat. pretty in sick if you ask me. no ammount of drugs could get me to use those cans

that was in wicked, i thought Johan Geilan, lab 4 and scott project were awesome. I love when geilan threw on southern sun.

Did any guys notice this weirdo perv in the mens washroom in the trance room, he would take pisses beside u and try and look at ur dick. My friends and I are the reason the washroom;s were shut down in the mens room on saturday. Cause the guy kept on changing and trying it again.

everything else was really good, I even partied in the jungle room and it was in awesome too.

woah i didnt even notice one security guard the whole weekend except for parking patrol. it was odd cause at past wemfs there were security going all around the camp sites and in the dance halls looking for drugs and stuff, but this year there was 0 enforcement.

I drove in once without even being searched at all, just questions" do you have any glass"? "no" "carry on"

cops were cool too except for 1. they let me off twice with my expired licence sticker.

thats funny because my friend scott said someone was looking at him while he was peeing......hmmmm, weirdo.

anyways, i need some track names, if anyone can help it would be GREATLY appreciated. jelo played one song that went "one Night in London..." then started naming off all these crazy drugs. the song's beat was incredible!! also, i forget what DJ played this song, but the song is about house music and it goes on about "its house music...sexy music..." or something like that. i cant get those songs out of my head and i need to know the names of them. Whoever answers these questions rocks my world!

Yup, I fell victim to that guy twice; he wasn't even being conspicuous about it... he'd lean over the divider and look right down there... friggin weirdo.

This was a great weekend. First of all, it must be said that this WEMF was the best organized yet.. huge ups to the guys that worked their asses off all week to put on such a tight production. Line was great, security was friendly, venue was top notch.. aside from the inevitable scheduling changes that happen every WEMF it went off without a hitch.

Music was good all weekend, I liked the variety. Could have gone for more upfront trance myself but hey, that's totally subjective. I enjoyed pretty much all the acts on Friday, but again although I like pretty much everything, a night just doesn't seem complete to me without at least one real quality trance set. Madam Zu and Liberator tore it up, I'd have to say though that the set of that night went to D:Fuse; tranced out prog really hit the spot. Czech owned too.

Saturday was a blast.. I had a great time hanging out with you wonderful TA's all day, you guys are so much fun. Good times playing the New Talent stage too, really cool relaxed vibe there all day, fun to play to. Obviously there were some technical difficulties, but these things happen, it was still alot of fun to be up there. The other djs on that stage handled the circumstances very well too; Gamma and Twitch were solid, Raaven was tight as well, NuEra did a great job up there and that Schryer character is just an animal... what else can I say, brilliant dj! ;)

Saturday night was a good night, the better night music wise. Dave the Drummer owned as always, (from a technical standpoint, him and Liberator had the best sets of the weekend) took as break for most of Lab 4's set to gear up for Johan. Set of the weekend goes to him in my opinion, he really delivered. He played proper upfront trance, his mixing was brilliant and creative, and he played by far the most eclectic set of the weekend; mixing tasteful trance with banging techno.
I really enjoyed Motorcycle, I was disappointed that it was just Jes singing over pre-engineered music, but she's got a gorgeous voice; hit every note perfectly, and it was neat to see her losing herself in what she was doing.
John '00' stepped up and delivered as I knew he would, easily one of the best djs in the world, tight mixing and filthy psy had the place up in arms... always great to see him play. Unfortunately I hadn't slept since Friday am, so I left before his set ended because I was just so exhausted. Drove right home from WEMF @ 5:30 and was in my own bed by 8am a very happy camper.

Again, big ups to Destiny, Ari, Del, Walter and the rest for putting on a great show. To the TA's that I hung out with all weekend, thanks so much for the support Saturday, you guys all rule... we shall all party together again very soon!

All in all a great weekend!

WEMF this year was a GREAT SUCCESS. Great organization, great venue, great weather, minimal sketchiness (major plus).
Gonna keep it short-

Found TA site thanks to RJ. Thanks for saving us latecomers some tent space. Was really nervous about the campers when we got there, as there was some psycho yelling crazyness when we got there, but that was the last of that I experienced.

Finally made it to main stage at 2am, when Madame Zu went on. Venue was 1/2 empty, crowd seemed deader than a mortuary. D:fuse ended up playing longer than expected, since Scot Project's plane was delayed, but holy crap did he rock the house!!! Excellent tuneage, and he even was bongoing on the drum pad (like scumfrog) during a remix of THe Cure's latest tune. Scot Project went on, and started off 'lighter' than I was hoping for. His set didn't have the same energy I'd remembered at Dance Valley 2002, but still a decent set- Just not mindblowing. Returned to the camp site after that and hung out.

Sat. went to the new talent tent when it opened to the sweet tunes of Dennis Hahn. Despite technical problems at this stage, tunes that were pumping from here were top notch. Props to Tw1tch & Gamma on their 1st gig, and for bringing new meaning to 'on the spot repairing' for stretching across the DJ table to adjust the wiring. :p Schryer was awesome, as was Raaven's house set, and NuEra. More people showed up Sat. (what was with security making us walk ALL AROUND the property to go to our cars which were 50' away cuz 'more cars were gonna come in' and they didn't want us in traffic's way- in the mean time, NO cars came for hours, and by then, they realized how stupid it was, and the ban was lifted). Managed to catch some of Dave the Drummer, Lab 4 (wicked live set, great energy), Johan rocked the house, Motorcyle was ok, and then some of J00F. Spent some time hanging with Johan after the set which was nice, and he apologized for his management cancelling his gig in Israel the week I was there. :p Loved so many of the tunes he played, but he didn't play "Murder was the Bass", Dee. Then went to finally catch the 1st bit of sleep in 48 hrs. Beautiful weather on the ride home too.

Now, off to Cherry Beach for Kenny Glasgow.
