)Its Tuesday and I'm finally coherent enough to write a review for this weekend...
What can I say, this year blew last year's wemf to PIECES, the venue was perfect... it took forever to get there, stupid traffic, but once we got there we were ready to party. We didn't camp with the TA's but we met tons of cool people around our area.
Jeez, writing this review, I'm having serious cases of nostalgia... I had such a wicked time at this party. The DJ's were wicked, the TA's were everywhere partying their asses off (even in the Jungle room for a bit :D) Thx to all the TA's that made this party amazing for everyone. Big thx to Swamper for all the work you did, I only caught you once and you were running from one place to another... your work seriously paid off.
The best part about WEMF was the fact that there was TONS of room to dance... and the weather was amazing... I was dissapointed the party ended so early on sunday, I was ready for lots more. I received tons of mix cd's (thx Mike and Rich) they were good for the ride home. After the party we went to the beach and chilled there for a bit with our neighbours.
The music was amazing... simply amazing... I danced my ass off all night long... I was still dancing when I got home at 6pm...
Shoutouts to all the TA's I saw there, you know who you are
Thx to all the TOTA dj's that spun... wicked...

I actually had no plans to play it but I brought it just in case (I figured too many other djs would have played it)
Just felt right I guess!! ;)

Not much more to be said on the review front. Scot Project rocked, Lab 4 destroyed me so bad I didn't see much more Saturday night (man I'm getting old). The usual WEMF bull happened (Jungle headliners not showing, locals getting sets cut short on main stage etc...) but at least getting in and out was a breeze this year. Had a great time hanging around Dragnfly's pool and drinking all day Saturday (might have also had something to do with my early burn-out that night;))
Good to see jenna_rae, time2burn, finally met tatgirl briefly and I think I creeped Rabbitjoker out when I recognized him on the main floor (during Scot Project I think?). All in all, one of the best WEMFs in years! I hope they get the same venue next year - it's not too far, but far enough to make it an adventure! |
