Top Gear C6 review

As far as bang for the buck champs go, there's not a cheaper platform to do it than a 5.0 Fox body. Even a GM guy like myself will admit to that. Ask Bob Bondurant if Mustangs can't handle. :thepirate

corvette's are still ugly ass cars, cheap muscle nothing more.

my buddys svt cobra at the st thomas assembly plant

man my engineering manager made a huge mistake letting me do the drive evaluations on the supercharged marauder..... the cops would have pulled me over on the autobahn..... i pegged teh spedometer at 150 mph

from stock this car has been outfitted with a new pcm module with a custom chip in it, upper and lower plenums have been replaced with a kit from trilogy automotive in ann arbour mi. it is a screw type supercharger runing 15 pounds boost. the transmission has been rebuilt with a new gear ratio (not sure what it is tho... it wasnt specified) and it has slicks in the rear mounted on the origional 21" 5 spoke pollished aluminum rims. also an extra fuel pressure and boost gage were installed in teh lower ip cluster. other than that its stock. other performance upgrades are the infamous decals..... (well the civic owners thinks it makes their cars faster anyways...) HA HA

any quesitons pm me

Yes the price, thats about the only good thing on a vette. Its cheap. But then again it has to be or nobody would buy one. Personaly for that money (i dont have an idea how much it costs so im just guessing here) i would rather have an EVO IIV, S2000, Alfa Romeo 156 GTA or a BMW M3. All of these will probably outcorner a vette (not sure about the alfa since it is FWD).

As for 1/4 times...they mean less than nothing to me...whats the point of being the fastest in a straight line if you have to take the cornes at half the speed of the other cars. Look at the Mercedes CL65 AMG, which is one of the most powerful cars you can get strainht out of a factory. i think the figures are 650HP and 720ft/pnt of torque. In a straight line nothing comes near it...in the corners however its like behing behind the wheel of a ship and thats why it produces wery poor times on the track.

Mercury - Marauder 2003

310 hp - 310 lb-ft, 18" rims, not bad.
