hey hawk240.... stop smoking crack it makes you sound retarted. currently the fastest PRODUCTION automobile is the ford GT, which is 550+ hp and 500 ft-lbs torque STOCK 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, and it handles better than the ferrari challenge stradelle and the porsche 911 gt twin turbo. if you think your POS asian imports have better stats than the pasta rockets your dreaming.

honestly i have worked for Ford for 4 years and i know my about our cars. do you know your from a bulls? cause everything your spouting smells like Bull.
Ford has a proven line of compact cars that have done extreemly well on the rally circuit considering the life span of the vehicle. focus has only been around for a few years now and is kickin the out of the imports.
the american automakers were the pioneers of the industry and one of the only companys to kick enzo ferrari in the nuts at the 24 hours of lemans....4 years in a row i might add. also take note that teh GT40 went from concept to production in just over 12 months which is unheard of in the industry. especially for a highly specialized car.
i suggest you go to your library and do some reading. come back and post wehn you can tell me what a torque converter is, or even explain how a 4 stroke engine works........ before you start spouting crap about ford or any other american automaker again (excluding daimler chrysler cause they lick my nuts...)

Sorry dude, but I know of a VR4 around here that is pushing more HP than that (ALOT more). Stock they come with 320HP, and thats on very low boost, with a ed up fuel system. They come with injectors somewhere within the vacinity of 370CCs (which is retarded considering the DSM - Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, and Plymouth Laser - were given 450CC injectors. My brothers VR4 which isn't even BPU has taken 2 Vettes (and if you blame his winning on being AWD, one of them was from a roll, the other was at the track, and my brother didn't launch his car either because he didn't wanna have to worry about his clutch slipping!), and a load of other cars.

The GT is nice, and I'm not saying all fords suck, however, for the most part domestics ing suck (which would include Mustangs - as stated earlier I'm excluding the Cobra, because I think it's a nice car, only ugly as . Why? Because they're heavy as , unreliable as hell, handle like total sloppy , and get gas milage that ing sucks. A good friend of mine has a Mustang, congrats he can't beat the out of it nearly as hard as I can my 240SX. Oh yeah, and it handles really well pfft. He's been driving a few years more than me, and I can easily take him on any backroad/road course. His car is also modified, and mine has free mods, I'm still on my stock exhaust which chockes the out of my car.

As far as bang for the buck champs go, there's not a cheaper platform to do it than a 5.0 Fox body. Even a GM guy like myself will admit to that. Ask Bob Bondurant if Mustangs can't handle. :thepirate | I've always hated that show since they got clarkson, the fool cant drive and neither can the lil fella. |

As for 1/4 times...they mean less than nothing to me...whats the point of being the fastest in a straight line if you have to take the cornes at half the speed of the other cars. Look at the Mercedes CL65 AMG, which is one of the most powerful cars you can get strainht out of a factory. i think the figures are 650HP and 720ft/pnt of torque. In a straight line nothing comes near it...in the corners however its like behing behind the wheel of a ship and thats why it produces wery poor times on the track. | You're saying a honda will out handle the LE MANS GTS CHAMPION? let's see, it powers past the porsches and bmw's in the corners and the straights. Tell your buddy with his boat of a VR4 *calling those supercars is the biggest joke* and see if he can keep up with an experienced SCCA racer. The American version is called an RPS13, or for short, an S13. In Japan it is called the Silvia. Here it can be called either a S13, or a 240SX.
