No one has any idea what the president has done in the last 4 years, most decisions, you don't see or hear about. |
I like reading through the executive orders. It's like gawking at a fatal accident on the side of the road. Grotesque, but you still try your hardest to see it.

| California has always been expensive to live in, you have a choice where you want to live, the government doesn't force you to stay there. You have made a choice and that is the consequence of your actions. If you moved to the south your cost of living would be much less but that apparently isn't your choice. California has a combination of year round good weather, prime coast from Asias, has an enormous amount of wealthy people, and has a constant influx of people wanting to live there which forces homes to rise, electricity to be stretched, smog and traffic to form, and jobs to stay at their same rate. |

I'm not sure if it's directly related to the convention, but it appears that Bush has opened up a pretty sizeable lead. I hope Kerry doesn't get desperate, I think it would hurt him more than help and make the race even uglier. |

You can't trust any poll. I looked at another poll showing Bush only 2% ahead, instead of 11% like TIME shows it. Anyway, poll results should change as soon as debates begin. IMHO, Kerry will completely own Bush in that aspect. |

Maybe, but there is a gigantic warchest the GOP party has to pull tricks out of.
For instance....many of the issues Kerry voted for in the senate and the 20yrs he skipped talking about to the public. It will be a big catfight in the debates indeed. I believe Kerry will be defending mostly throughout the debates.
Al Gore is more intelligent than Kerry...IMO.
Al Gore ended up tieing with Bush in the debates.
