Ok, enjoy. Beware, to say this is normal would be a GROSS overstatement. For a little background, the guy uses only TV & Radio commercial samples for this, then throws them all together to make crazy good beats (except for the bass...no commercial has that in it, but wh4t3vz...). For the first minute or so, it's confusion like whoa...but patience pays off...

Played last night at a bar for a friends party got quite a few randoms in during my set, was alright wanted to mix up the style a bit more but they were really into the house.
Set recorded on a friends mp3 player, hopefully he'll upload it tonight for download.
Only got to play for an hour coz everyone got there late but here's what i played.

Glad you're enjoying it. I place all the blame for my (and any of those that arise from my transfers of it) addiction to that track and the rest of his album on one of my better friends here at school. I can't help but keep listening to it over and over...seems I pick up on another 1/4-second sample with every repeat. Can't say I've ever heard anything like the stuff that he puts together. I can't even imagine how much time & effort you would have to invest to sort through all those ads & come out of the process with a collection of clips that even somewhat resembles a quality production, let alone what he puts together. Making a quality, memorable track using maniputable VSTs is hard enough, even with the best software out there (boy, don't I know that). Putting together a bunch of random audio samples made with unrelated intentions for a single, completely different purpose to make something that fits together so damn well is just plain genius. Once I get my internet access back, I'll have to share the rest. |
