in TXTA, we have like an underground army of oppressed minimal hipsters (Me, included). So Welcome and feel free to join us in our quest to liberate the 'south' from the 'evil army of trance-heads' :stongue: |
I refuse to call the music I play and listen to minimal. It's ING TECHNO and damn good house. Stupid trance crackers. |

Thanks, but the rebels while having much more individual skill, wisdom, taste, sagacity, heart, and spirit than any group of one hundred loyalists would still crumble before the numbers of the trance cracker loyalist whores. |

ORRRRRR....we really do like all types posted (Yes, I play trance, prog and techno) and aren't trying so hard to be hipsters that we bring to the table like Ivan Smagghe (I like you Digz, but don't ever do that again).:D |

In all honesty, I do this because It feels to me that TXTAs need to be exposed to other genres/styles of dance music; other than the overly-pigeonholed trance/techno/house genres of late. I mean, I do this with a purpose, so that when you get home from a hard day at work you can relax with a couple of beers and listen to some good european techno. (the term "good" is subjective to music preference).
Thus said, I didn't post the set to cause any sort of stir (perhaps, in my subconscious I might have predicted some sense of discomfort amongst many of you) but in all honesty I'm really not doing this to "show-off".
I like you too and I respect you. This isn't personal stuff, this is only a "forum" to share ideas about music/books/movies...you name it!
:) |
I think might sarcasm might have gone wasted there. I do appreciate all the sets that you post, with the exception of this one. Detriments of attempted sarcasm without tone or expression, I suppose.
I'm glad that you express your ideas and try to show the rest of us new things instead of incessantly stating how 'this sucks' and 'my genre is better because I can understand it at a greater depth' and the rest of the typical uber-artisan bull that flows from some mouths. Keep 'em coming. One day someone will mention someone in music extremely obscure and I will be able to say 'oh yeah, known about him for years'.:happy2: |
