that's what happens when you have the uneducated masses voting ;)

*please note sarcasm due to the dj mag thread

first of all, why does some tour have to include non americans telling you to vote. It is pathetically sad that PvD has to say vote and why should be telling you that. CL, D:Fuse, Morillo and others should have said vote, not PvD lmao. Rock the vote tour, since when did anyone give a crap about PvD's opinion, he lives in Berlin last I checked and I doubt he qualifies as an American citizen. We all know PvD's opinions on war but the funny thing is no one cares about what a deejay thinks, they are paid to play records in front of people, that's it. I don't see PvD running for German office or doing anything, which leads me to believe, this is a lame cashgrab. Top marks to Paul for taking the dough tho.

now with that being said

Americans, get out and vote.
Laushinameee
yes we all know what PvD thinks of bush / the war, and people would be right to ignore him if they wish, after all hes just another person.

However on the issue of getting people out to vote, he isnt offering up any opinions at all. So that rant was a little misplaced.

& I dont think hes getting anything for these gigs, apart from any publicity obviously. But that would be taking your cynicism to new levels if you thought hed just agreed to do it because of that.

with george bush deciding that usa is now the worlds police force & sticking THEIR nose into everything & anything that may or may not conern them I think is of great importance & significance. Just because america is far away doesnt mean they arent butting their nose into our affairs. Youd think this would be fairly obvious no?

the fact remains, american politics is not the place for a german DJ.

end of.
Yeti
i read this thread...and...my opinion is that music and politics should not mix cause you get in the end.

Musicians should make music, politicians should talk trash - like always :)

quite ironic that in a country that is trying to quash the dangerous youth movement that is clubbing, that they go and get one of the heroes of this dangerous youth movement to promote the voting of its leader

no, i am saying that he shouldn't be pissing about doing such things. who gives a flying what a german DJ thinks on american politics?? i sincerely doubt the american people do, apart from the 1% who actually know who he is. he is wasting his time and effort.

:haha: funny ha.

Not funny at all. Also a load of bollocks as hes not saying what he thinks. Hes supporting a group that is attempting to get people, especially young people, registered to vote, nothing more.
